Doesn't DSL usually have a higher latency then cable or fiber? It did when I last had it but that was a long while ago. Verizon has all but abandoned their copper network though so we never really saw some of the newer DSL tech.

It does but that isnt likely to be bad enough to be noticeable in most applications.

 
I'm only 30-40 minutes in, but I really like Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom so far. The combat system is simple yet engaging, and I can see it getting more intricate as I acquire more abilities.

Hastings still gives 32.25 credit on Duck Dynasty XBone and PS4.  Time to order me one of each at Best Buy and flip them.  

 
Only played about 90 minutes of it, but so far Amazing Discoveries in Outer Space is really really cool. It has randomly generated planets that you explore. Once you log enough interesting things, you go into hyperdrive to the next solar system.

You control the ship at first, flight controls are good, but on the planet you can also leave the ship and explore on foot. You unlock lots of stuff as you proceed forward. The farthest I've been is the 5th light year but I've already unlocked a tow cable, a flashlight, and a hat that keeps me from flying off low gravity planets when I explore on foot. 

It really is pretty damn cool so far, but like I said it's still real early in the game.

God damn. There were two squads of guys fighting each other, all rogue but some of em in manhunt status. Ran up behind the manhunt group and killed a few of em and they had hella DZ currency on em because after that I was able to buy both high end weapons at the safe room.

Finally tried out The Division right now. I'm digging it. Glad to hear they extended it so I can play a little more tomorrow.
 
Partway through s4 of BSG...Adama and Roslin are supposed to be completely miserable, unsympathetic characters, right? I can't tell if the show writers are blind to what terrible people they've created. It seems like the show runners would have to realize it but the other characters on the show don't seem to have any awareness of how terrible Adama and Roslin are, so it's hard to tell if they're written so badly on purpose.

It doesn't sound too awful except for the heavy rng and time commitments. I just want to finish the game and then I'll see if I can stomach the 50 hour postgame.

So far so good though about three hours in.

Yeah it doesn't sound difficult or anything, just tons to do. I'm definitely enjoying it though. The kids love watching it so that's a plus, should mean I get more time to play it.

 
...I can't believe I finally finished Ether One on the PS4. That game is so broken still and the developer doesn't give a shit about fixing it.

I hated seeing it on my home screen and just braved it and managed to complete it yesterday.

My copy of Gravity Rush PS4 shipped for delivery tomorrow. Hoping I can have SR4 knocked out by then, but I doubt it. I still have all the loyalty missions, the story missions after getting Gat, and some challenges to get through. 

I didn't realize that GR has DLC, but it looks like there's 3 and each adds ~4 hours to complete. Nice to see the Remastered version includes that stuff. Tons of #common trophies, too--the least common trophy is at 41%.

Eh. Religion works for some people. The placebo effect is a real thing; there are plenty of people who need that illusion of purpose in order to be happy and there's nothing wrong with that IMO. The people who use religion as a tool to be an asshole are assholes anyway--whether they're quoting hypocritical bullshit from a bible or not doesn't really matter. The fault is with the assholes, not the weapon they use.

Its just more frustrations managing people.  I wish I could yell at this woman for calling me insensitive to her beliefs and acting like I should know every Jewish custom.  But as a manager and normally rational person I cant.  But shit like this is why she never gets past a lower level job.  She needs to conform more to what others want.  If you dont you get left behind.

So I come on here to complain since I would get fired if I said it in the office. I just wish I could be open about some of these things without being persecuted myself.  I feel like religion gets a free pass and if I said anything I would be the bad guy trying to keep her from following her beliefs.  Which is wrong.  You can do what you want, I just want to call you out on it and tell you I dont like it.

I played the game almost exclusively with my son. When I was up late I took that as an opportunity to farm certain areas and do some of the grinding. He really enjoyed going after all the familiars though so he ended up doing a lot of that with me anyway.

I can do it then. If everyone makes it we will have 5, but that shouldn't be a problem. I must not be friends with Chewy on TT because Zimm said it looked like he is missing the trophy too. So I guess we could have 6 if he was interested as well.

 
welp my big company is apparently being acquired by a giant company.  I wish I would've bought stock I guess.

on the plus side, deadpool is headed back to me from the library so we will once again be reunited for a week.

I just added you. I don't like that game much, but sure why not? But when is "then"? Tonight at 9 eastern or tomorrow night (when)? What do we need to do to get the trophy? I'd prefer 10 eastern or later.

The show had it's moments latter on like the first few episodes of S3, but I thought everything after Pegasus was on a downward trend.

Tonight. To get the trophy you have to win a 4 player community level. I have one queued up that is supposed to be super short. Looks like Mr stuck in central wants to wait until at least 9:15 anyway. I'd prefer not to wait until 10 but I would be OK with it if it works better for everyone.
