There are two types of guards, shooters and drivers, UK guards are better drivers than shooters. Murray and Ulis can make a decent amount of 3 pointers but they are not great shooters. Briscoe cant shoot for shit but he can drive and pass well.

I dont think you know a whole lot about basketball, but with no post presence there is no one for them to do what UK normally does which is drive, bring the D to you, then throw a lob to the big guys. Dont have that this year. So what happens instead, they drive, the D comes to them, they have 2-3 guys in their way to the rim, and cant do anything with it at that point. If they D had to stay honest and stick to the bigs, would open up the lane way more for the drivers on the team.

They started more pick and pop with skal but he is SO terrible on rebounding they cant leave him in. Willis has started to shoot 3s better and play harder recently but teams are figuring out to stick with him when guards drive and started to take that away.

edit: guess there are 3 types of guards, ones who can do both really well but thats rare, most either are elite at one or the other but not both.

Again all boils down to one simple fact. Skal sucks.

JC3 Plat get!

Loved the game. Definitely my favorite AAA of the year, and possibly my GotY. The load times and framerate problems everyone seemed to be complaining about were completely exaggerated in most cases. Mentioned it a couple times in stream, but the really long loads before/after challenges were rare and not that intrusive most of the time I was playing. Usually when a game is loading I'm on the internet anyway, so by the time I realized JC3 was loading too long it'd pretty much be over anyway. I had way too much fun just flying around and blowing shit up. Tethers and C4 were definitely my favorite methods of destruction. 

Most awesome moment in the game for me was when I blew up a couple sphere tanks and ran along the top as they rolled away. Completely badass. 6/5 diamonds.

Nice! I'm definitely going to get back into JC3 once it gets a good sale ($20-$30).

There were patches for the load times. Perhaps for the framerate issues, too, I can't recall on that one.

After the patches went up the framerate still had drops when a lot of things were exploding. Seems like they focused mostly on the load times, but those could still occasionally get out of hand.

Avalanche patched some of the load times (the initial start-up load time was still pretty long--nearly a full minute--the last time I played JC3) and said they were working on addressing the framerate stuff in a later patch.

I appreciate that 'Throw Stone' is a core skill. Much like the re4 village map in the new resident evil shooter game, all this does is make me want a damn final fantasy tactics remake. I'll still get dissidia when it eventually ports to ps4 though.

Lego dimensions people, how long does it take to set up the portal? I was going to start the game last night, but I opend the box and it looked like a whole lot of legos that I didn't feel like bothering with.

Pretty sure you dont have to bother. It cant really know if you built it or not. It tells you to and if you say, yeah I did that I am pretty sure you can just go ahead and play.

I'd say it takes around 15 minutes or so if you're good with the Lego diagrams. But like Gator said, you don't actually have to build any of the stuff. But what's the fun in that?

 
Did you Helldivers pros play any amount of single player missions or mainly stick to playing with each other/randoms?

I tried to do a level 2 mission by myself last night and I kept failing because of all the fucking reloading I had to do.  I hope as I upgrade clips can hold more than 3 bullets and/or auto-reload and/or give you more than 4 clips.  Finally passed it when other peeps came into my game.

I can see how it is fun to play with a bunch of people but I was getting somewhat frustrated last night.  I'll keep at it though.

I played probably equal amounts solo and with a team. Solo is pretty limited in what you can handle without certain strategies - most people use distract beacons and any sort of slowing/deterring loadouts and just run around and knock out objectives as fast as possible. If you're sick of reloading just hold out until you get one of the laser based weapons. Less of a punch but unlimited ammo with no reloads. Useful for small mobs, next to worthless for bigguns.

It's a shame they couldn't have had some kind of smart-bricks that it could tell how they were arranged. You could build custom stuff/characters in-game by rearranging the parts. That would have been awesome. Maybe in the year 2050.

I think part of my problem was I kept forgetting to about all the things I can call (Strategrams or whateverfuck) so I just went guns ablazin. I do like the sound of unlimited ammo and no reloading though. I'll just have to play with others until I get good upgrades and/or learn the game and its strategies better.
