I still thought the load times were pretty bad even after the first patch. Don't think I had the game long enough for any additional patches. Mad Max load times (seems like a similar type of open world game but maybe not as pretty) were not as long. Granted I just played MM last month and not a launch.

Still I will probably pick up JC3 for cheap digitally at some point.

Yeah, I'm probably going to do that with Until Dawn. Not going to bother tonight, I'd rather play dimensions, but I figure 3 nights of rentals should be enough to finish Until Dawn anyway.

When I just refreshed the page in my browser (without using notifications), it also took me to the front page. Another refresh brought me back here.

Nope, but my "what's new since last visit" no longer works. When I login it counts the login as the last visit so it only shows me new posts from the last minute. Have to switch it to new in last 24 hours and try and remember at what time i last logged in.

 
This Coen brothers short is hilarious. It's subtitled in Italian or some language, but it's maybe better to not know what the French people are saying. Some real funny moments in it and only 6 minutes long. Worth your time. Not to mention Steve Buscemi!

Man on Fire is one of my favorite Tony Scott films. It's right up there with Top Gun, Days of Thunder, and Enemy of the State.

Also one of my favorite Denzel films. I like Denzel better when he plays these darker characters.

I didn't realize that was EU-specific. I linked the NIS page for the game but it seems to be incomplete, so I threw the image in as well. Lame that they get a launch edition and we don't. Maybe they just haven't announced the launch version here yet.

Hopefully BB will list the Grand Edition. I'm not sure how often they do that kind of thing, though.

 
Went out to dinner with my three HS buds last night.  The first one of us turned 40 last week.  The next one turns 40 next week, then it's me in June, and the last in October.  40-effing years old, jeez!

We went to one of those 'fancy' Japanese steakhouses.  Not really my favorite place to eat; they're way over-priced in my opinion, but it was the birthday boy's choice.  I like the little hole-in-the-wall place that me and the family go to with the hot waitresses.

The restaurant was the same one we all ate at 19 years ago when the same guy turned 21.  It was fun hanging out with the fellas and reminiscing about all the stupid stuff we did back then.  In keeping with our tradition, the birthday boy paid for dinner.  That keeps us from arguing about who paid last, and where we go to eat.  Actually, last night's birthday boy is the finance manager at one of the local Chevy dealerships, and I think he used his company card.  I don't think I'll be able to do the same when it's my birthday; they're a little tighter on the expense account here then at a car dealership.

I always liked Denzel and yet I hated the movie he got his oscar for. Training Day was just so...I dont know, I just hated it with a passion. I think I was listening too much to the hype for it and just didnt get it. He was good in it yeah but I didnt think the movie was all that great. All he did was be mean and go crazy.

Tales of Hearts R isn't that bad. I usually don't like Tales games due to whiny characters, the story moving at a snails pace and the combat system.

I put this on easy. I'm still not a fan of the combat system, understanding the difference between running and "free running" throws me. That and trying to remember which button combos activate which artes. Too complicated for me. I'm a simple man. (Simpleton)

Now to figure out what's going on with my sprint bill. Having autopay and paperless is nice, but it also allows un-seen charges to surprise you.

Thats worse than 330 but still better than lunch hour. Since your married and have kids I would think you wouldnt mind staying at work a few minutes longer than normal. Whats the alternative? Spending more time with your family? Gross.

In my defense I just went through a divorce and am now working my way through Mad Men. I CANNOT BELEIVE WHAT WE (MEN) GOT AWAY WITH JUST A FEW DECADES AGO!!

I really wish I could have a mini bar in my cube. A swig of whiskey a few times a day would be awesome! No smoke though. Thanks.

I was just talking to Tyler yesterday about how great old Bond movies are because of how un-PC they are. In The Living Daylights, Bond asks Moneypenny to try to dig up some info for him and she tries to flirt with him. He just slaps her on the ass and leaves.

It also had one of the best captions I've ever seen:

On Saturday I went to see this band STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) in LA and they killed it as always. First time seeing their new female bass player and she was amazing. There were so many girls partying that the PSNOT crew would of had a blast. Here's a clip from last song in the first set (great version of California Love @ 7.30).
