The wife and I have had a few discussions about this. She says it's a conditioning thing--that women have a learned behavior to not answer questions directly because they have to be able to justify the answer in order to be taken seriously. So instead of giving a simple response they give the entire thought process behind their answer to the question (which may or may not have an answer at the end.) I'm not too sure if she's right about her reasoning but it's an incredibly common (and incredibly annoying) approach to conversation that a lot of women have.

I think women would be taken more seriously if they just answered a damn question when asked but I'm not sexist; she's a lot more likely to know how men will respond to various communication styles than I am. Hard to argue against the general population being assholes, though, so I'm guessing she's right on this one.

My wife does it but not too much, my mom and her mom definitely do it, and one of my co-workers I absolutely hate talking to because I can never get her to say anything I understand. My sister talks straight but she's weird in other ways.

Anybody want this Yakuza 4 DLC code? I don't even remember where I got it. It says it includes costumes and new game modes including "Endless Survival Tag", "Battle King", and "Speed King".

It expires 3/28/16.

 
I missed it as well. Oddly enough there's not a single game on the list I don't have GS access to and want. Maybe it'll have something good as the thread continues to get updated.

Weird. I can't even find anything about that in the store. The only DLC I'm seeing other than themes and avatars is an upgrade back. It's free but there's no real details other than this:

Googling says it was included with first-run copies, but I'm pretty sure I never bought one and opened it. I remember buying a couple BF copies one year and selling them to other CAGs, but I sent them sealed. The only thing I can think of is that it was bundled in with the paperwork of one of the PS3s I've bought. I bought one in March 2011, I bought the Uncharted/Infamous BF bundle in 2012, and I bought the Uncharted 3 GOTY bundle in June 2013. They were all purchased new.

edit - I think I did buy one from Kmart clearance and opened it to trade it to Gamestop. I always keep codes, so that must be where I got it.

I checked out that Target deal on my way home and ended up getting 6 games for $50.  I didnt realize Toy Soldiers was still $30 on its own though so I may bring that back and grab Killzone instead (yes, I know it sucks but it would be dirt cheap with this deal).

 
Fallout 4 post-plat thoughts (spoilered cause I'm not jkam)
 
 Pros:

  • Improved combat system,  really feels much smoother than 3 and New Vegas did.  Not a lot of crazy guns but I always had a lot of ammo too which I didn't always in New Vegas.
  • VATS system being real-time.  I like how now it pays off sometimes to wait a few seconds for that enemy to step out of cover but can also bite you in the ass if you're not paying attention.
  • Commonwealth setting.  I liked the whole area and being somewhat close to Boston I appreciated how they handled a lot of the landmarks.
  • No skill points!
  • No weapons breaking during the game!
  • Perk trees had a lot of cool stuff.  I did max out my S-P-E-C-I-A-L stats early with the dupe glitch so I had a lot more perk options and it was a blast to have that freedom instead of agonizing over which ones to choose like New Vegas.
Cons:

  • Settlements.  They just did not work, at all.  Way too much maintenance for way too little in-game benefit.
  • Radiant quests.  I know they got this from Skyrim and it was cool at the start to build XP but it just feels like a cheap way to pad the game length.  This is the goddamn wasteland afterall...if I clear out a Raider settlement I shouldnt get a quest 20 minutes later taking me to the same spot where 2 dozen more suddenly showed up.  No thanks.
  • Companion quests.  Companions were pretty hit or miss for me but a lot of their quests just felt short.
  • Not counting Dogmeat/Codsworth as separate companions.  You really should have able to use one of them and another companion of your choice.  In New Vegas I only ever rolled with ED-E, Boone, and Cass but it was awesome having two companions with you.  Poor choice here especially since the FO4 companions weren't all that great to begin with.
  • Lack of real faction power.  Seemed like none of the factions you could join really mattered much in the end and even if you were "Leader" you still had to do all the grunt work (looking at you Minutemen!)
  • Ending quests lacked any real punch.  When I did Rockets Red Glare and blew up the Prydwen I didn't even have to fire a shot...what?   I was expecting this big badass fight with a bunch of dudes in power armor but it never materialized.  The Liberty Prime quest was good for this but it was the only one.

Overall I definitely recommend it if you're a fan and it's worth full-price but if you didn't like 3 or New Vegas this one probably won't change your mind.

Saw a trailer for MOP: Operation Cleanup. I want someone to buy and stream it just to see how bad it is. Don't use "mop" and "cleanup" in the game title if all your character does is jump.  

Looks like a bunch of random icons were thrown in too.

 
Pitfall, my copy of Yakuza 4 has the same DLC slip in it, so you can give yours to someone else. Thanks for pointing that out, though--I probably wouldn't have known about it expiring next month if you hadn't mentioned it.

 
I just caused this guy on twitch to go on a 15 minute rant about how streaming on twitch is so hard and a tough job. All because he said something about having a job and I said "You have a job?"

It turned into a big thing about how rich people are worse than people who work at McDonald's or something. It was pretty hilarious.

So target trip was a mixed bag.

Wound up with sleeping dogs def, murdered soul suspect and metro redux x1. Metro trades for 10 to GS, all 3 games were 20 total. So can trade in metro and essentially get 2 games for 10.

Big score for me was walking dead season 1 complete edition for ps3 for 7.50 on clearance. Stoked to play it again, like it way better than season 2.

They had drive club, some transformers game, last of us remastered, and I think one other game that were like 39.99

Had a few 29.99 games like evil within, ds2 scholar first sin, couple others I think.

I was looking at the BK Jalapeno Chicken Fries ad and emailed a couple of friends that they literally gave the chicken a dirty Sanchez.  One responded that it was so big, it was more like a dirty Rodriguez.

I checked stock at the targets near me and none in Tampa seem to have Last of Us. Without that one game I am not gonna bother. The others I would get I ave already played and dont feel like flipping for a few bucks.

Target deal was a bust for me as well. Only went cause people reported arcania working and it's not. Did score some of the sweet cinnamon bun oreos though. Not a total bust

My copy of Majin came in, it was actually complete and in pretty good shape, I was surprised considering they usually put sub $5 games in envelope slips and junk the cases at my gamestop.

I initially had wanted FFVII PS4 to be my 150th, but I would have had to speed-run it for the plat and I don't want to do that.

MGR: Revengeance is one of the best action games I've ever played--I like how its scoring system for ranked fights focuses less on combos and more on speed/strategy. Plus Raiden is a hardcore badass from beginning to end.

I still have the two "campaign" DLCs to run through for their trophies, then I'll finally start Ni no Kuni.

I was in the alpha and I had to download a separate file for the beta. Thankfully they re-enabled hiding titles on Xbox One so I don't have betas/trials/demos clogging up my Games page.
