PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Slightly tempted by Shadows of Mordor.  I played a bit of it and just didn't get into it much.  But with almost everyone saying it was a great game I am tempted to get it anyway.  Probably should skip though as I will likely never get around to trying it again.  Do have $10 in certs there that I guess will be issued soon (will no longer be able to bank points after they take my Elite away next week probably).

fuck it, I ordered Shadow of Mordor too. Have it digital on Xbone but I can trade this back in for close to what I paid and will have another plat on the resume.

I have the standard version of Mordor and I've never finished the campaign, so I should probably play that if I'm going to play it. It was fun, but I didn't stick with it anyway. Not really sure why. I should go back to it.

It's weak in the beginning. The initial combat and travel just don't feel right and the world isn't exactly detailed or varied. It's not until you've gotten into the game further, maybe about 1/3, that it becomes really good. At that point you'll have unlocked enough new abilities that the gameplay elements all kind of gel together.

Did you read up on wasteland? not sure if ever fixed but apparently that game is a complete turd programming wise. After you get into it, it will crash constantly and makes it almost unplayable. Crashes real bad when trying to save I think was the main one.

That thread talks a lot about it.
Read through some of the threads on pst.org. Sounds like a lot of the crashes have been fixed. I'll get to WL2 soonish (Just started Transformers: Devestation) and will report how it works for me.

Must have been a patch after feb 8th, guy posted then that the game crashed every 30 mins when he was playing it.

I only watched it with volume muted, so I can't say if the song ruins the trailer, as stated by commenters.

I am going to guess I was maybe 1/4 of the way into the game. Maybe it would have grabbed me if I played a bit longer.

The post didn't state when he played it. I checked after your comment, though, and he really did play it just then. Here's his profile:

Played from 2/1-2/8 and got the plat. So either he didn't install the patches (unlikely) or it still has issues. Bummer. Wonder if they're still working on it at this point.

#TeamClockworkOrange

The whole world created within with the goofy language and costumes and milk drinking was weird and different. Has a point it's trying to make about the ol ultra-violence. And like kilik said, the performance by Malcolm McDowel is top notch.

Fun fact(s):

- I once showed a clip of this movie in a psychology class in college for some project/report.

- I once dressed as Clockwork Orange for a Halloween party. Not the main character, but the movie title.
somewhat fun fact, for some reason (I can't remember why, I don't think it was a film class) I did a report on Day of the Dead for a class in high school. I recorded clips by hooking 2 VCRs together and pulled out the audio cord, while recording, during a section with extreme swearing (stopping the clip around 2:20)

spoilers I guess for a movie from 1985

I thought the music didn't detract, it gives it an air of sadness and hopelessness. 1:33 reminds me a lot of the lead up to the Penetrator boss in Demon's Souls, they even have red-eyed knights.

Also that's new information, I guess the CE is going to have a 200 page artbook featuring stuff from all 3 Dark Souls games, not just Dark Souls 3.

A Cyndi Lauper song being part of a Dark Souls trailer is bizarre no matter how you look at it. Though tbh I associate it more with Phil Collins which is just as weird.

On second thought, I don't know if you can trust that, it looks like they were lazy and just reposted the EU trailer to the US channel with the US rating tacked on the front as you can briefly see the "peggie 16" rating at 0:04.

Him destroying the Badgers in the tournament still haunts my dreams.

Pharm, clockwork orange is a great movie. Sure it's a bit long and drawn out like all Kubrick movies, so it makes sense for you to hate it based on your game and music opinions.

Wha oh, Super Stardust HD was free on plus way back when already wasnt it?  Several years ago.

I am good with the top three though!  fuck the bottom three although Stardust is awesome.

Extra Steam code for the Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops and Viking games from Sega. Should also come with a 75% off Tembo code.
I somehow missed out on this set, got the others with Jet Grind and Streets Of Rage 2.

If anyone else has an extra code...

Long and drawn out are certainly terrible qualities, but the whole point of the movie is lost on me. Its just flat out a waste of time and dumb.

People arent born bad, they learn it bla bla bla...thats all horse shit psycho babble.

I thought I had already bought Super Stardust on PS3 or Vita, but apparently not.

Anyway happy Galek-Z joins Broforce.  Already have Flame Over Vita but its good and Reality Fighters might be fun for a laugh or two.

Not a blow me away month but a solid month.
