PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

We have a good local pizza joint that we always order from. The most recent chain pizza place we ordered from was Pizza Hut. Thus....

I use to like Papa Johns just fine, though. They are pretty good (or were, at least - has been a number of years).

You have Hungry Howie's as an option and you still order from Domino's? I think Domino's is OK so I am not like Jimbo, but Hungry Howie's is easily the best of the cheap fast food pizza places. We only have one and it is so far away I rarely get it. Part of that is due to a local chain with a pretty good pizza for $6 a hell of a lot closer.
Hungry Howies was my favorite for a long time. It doesnt seem as good as it used to be but is still is right there with Dominos. However, ever since Dominos started the $5.99 deal I get them more often as they are 2 minutes from my house. Howies is only about 10 minutes away but that makes a difference since I enjoy them both.

Oh and I can get bacon on the Dominos pizzas because they are two topping mediums where the Hungry Howies is just a pepperoni.

For me spending $20 instead of $10 (or whatever the exact numbers are) is worth it. We eat at home quite a bit. Once week (usually Fridays) I pick something up on my way home. Or maybe we get something out on Saturday or Sunday if running errands. Pizza is in the rotation but isn't even a monthly thing for us. But when it is I rather spend $20 over whatever Dominoes deal is. Add to that the local pizza place is less then a mile a way and our 'local' Dominoes burnt down a couple years ago. But I had never been to it anyway.

We have Pizza Hut close enough but I don't care for their pizza either. If I am in that shopping plaza I rather have Boston Market or maybe even KFC/AW. I also pass a Taco Bell which would be a better option for cheaper food. Burger King, Wendys and even McDonalds are all in the same general area and for me ALL better options.

I don't take this seriously. I don't care if everyone thinks I am a pizza snob. I probably am.
Dont worry, I dont take you seriously either.

A long time ago my grandfather use to take us to Pizza Hut and he'd always order the "Cavatini" or some name like that. A pasta dish. Every single time it would not be hot enough for him and he would demand that they heat it more. Then they'd bring it back and it still wouldn't be hot enough, so he'd demand they heat it more. I'm pretty sure it was always the 3rd time when it was good enough for him. I once got the Cavatini and thought it was scalding hot.

Clearly he had burnt off his taste buds and nerve endings in his mouth long before.

I like that Domino's basically lets us get 6 toppings on a large for $8.99. My gf gets half of it with pepporoni mushroom and black olives, and I get ham pineapple and bacon on the other half. The other day it was less than $8 total for some reason, must have been some kind of sale.

Maybe this where my hatred of chain pizza comes from. My dad is from the midwest. He doesn't know good or even passable Italian food. He likes Pizza Hut. We had a local place 1/2 mile from our house we would have to pass to get to Pizza Hut. He was usually out voted but occasionally he would win. Especially when we were younger and he was paying. After a while we would be like you go have your Pizza hut. We will go to the local place.

I will say if we had a Dominos close it would have been handy when my MIL would come over and we wanted pizza. She hates pizza and would get wings if that was an option.

Hungry Howie's is pretty good when it comes to value. Sometimes I prefer their 3 cheeser bread over the pizza which, btw, I like more than Little Caesars.

But I gotta say Domino's really stepped up from their old recipe that was usually burnt (especially their pepperoni). I'll probably go there tomorrow.

Or maybe Marco's. I thought it was a local chain until I moved and saw another one. Same goes with Mario the Baker.

okay, i think i am going to make a special trip to hungry howies tonight.   no time constraints tonight so ill make the slightly longer drive.

We have had Marcos here for a while and at first I liked them but they have gotten worse around here.  VERY oily, like more tahn the normal oily pepperoni.  Also they are always more expensive so I stopped going to them several years ago.

I still need to spend another $30 to quality for the PSN promotion.

Thinking of getting Resident Evil 0 and something else. Rock Band DLC perhaps.

thats pretty cool. Looks like a shitty car for real driving, but good for pizza delivery.
Until the oven overheats and sets the back seat on fire. Or you get rearended and that oven's now up where you were sitting. One of those ideas that seems great in theory but really stupid in real life execution.

not a big pep fan, usually get sausage mushroom, really like marcos sausage (yes I get the obvious dick joke to be made here)

Go on...

I don't mind pizza hut/dominos/papa john's, but I don't go to any of them very often. I also like uno's, but I have to be prepared for lots of leftovers to make that worth it. I actually really really like mod pizza outside of Columbia mall, but that's not close enough for me to go a lot.

Rock Bottom Brewery (a chain but still beer only can get there) and Wolfmother tonight nerds!

The Redbox at the store near me shows they have Mad Max. I get there 5 minutes later and not only do they not have Mad Max for rent but it doesn't even show that it's out of stock or ever been available to rent. I leave angry with Just Cause 3. fuck you wren!

JC3 was great and Sage said so!

Speaking of chain fast food restaurants. We got a Hardees of all things. Open on Monday I think. Not very close to us but want to give them a try next time we are up that way.

As a kid we used to go to North Carolina (outerbanks) for summer vacation. 10+ years. Anyway they had a Hardees on the main land and we would go there at least once on the trip.

Been many years but what is good there now?
The Frisco burger is always solid. I actually just ate there yesterday for the first time in years, and ordered the charbroiled BBQ chicken club. It was pretty damn good. I only ate a few fries, but they were better than McDonalds.

Don't buy anything at full price just yet. That $15 back promo ends 3/1 at 11:59 PM, so any purchases you make before midnight after next week's deals go live will be included. If you still want to bite the bullet after next week's sales, fine, but no sense in jumping in early.

Also I've never thermed up the thread about chain pizza aside from making a reference to John Stewart's bit about casseroles. The Pizza Huts near me are dumb as shit, though; I'm right between two, with one being 1.5 miles away, and neither delivers because they have some kind of delivery zone dispute going or something. Bastards.

Pizza hut is mom food. Nice and bland with no surprises. Same for mcdonalds.

Carls jr has six dollar burgers that only cost 5!

BTW if any of you haven't noticed, any simpsons image with a quote automatically gets a like from me. Ok, it doesn't really even need a quote.

Dying Light - The Following Review

http://invertedaccess.com/2016/02/24/dying-light-the-following-review/

Never has a game needed fast travel more than Dying Light. I get that it's about free-running/parkour and the new dlc has a vehicle. But Assassin's Creed is about freerunning too and basically every game has a car in it and they all have fast travel.

Anyways, The Following is more of the same. Driving the car is cool but it has its drawbacks too. Bless Simmias and anyone else who has the patience to 100% Dying Light. To me the 100% sounds like about 30 more hours of running back and forth across maps then some crazy arena mode stuff.

Horrendous! Wont someone think about those staff members who are gluten-free!

-said by a moron every time we try to do a pizza party at work.

And get sugar free ice cream for thosse of us who are diabetic!
We have a diabetic in our office, but nobody is gluten free as far as I know.

But yeah, setting up any sort of event that involves food is way more of a headache than it's worth.

Yeah, when I get back to playing Dying Light, I'll just go for the plat and the not-crazy DLC trophies.

Thanks for the reviews.

I liked Dying Light so much I bought it on xbox one so I have an excuse to play it again

Does this apply to Rock Band Exports? I see song DLC in the store but the $15 Legacy download I can only find when I load the Rock Band 4 disc.
