PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Mild wrote me a little note with my Assassins Creed game. Pretty decent handwriting!

It's a fun game.

Curve Digital is publishing a game called Manual Samual, described as "QWOP meets Monkey Island in this brilliantly original tale of redemption, coming to consoles and PC this summer"

QWOP meets Monkey Islands sounds like probably the worst game of all time. Boring stupid adventure shit mixed in with impossible and unfun controls!

I love the MOBAs I've played (MNC and GoME) but they're not something I seek out.

I played the hell out of both of them and I'd love for the PS4 to get some decent entries... or even MNC revived on PS4.

Dead Island remaster is snooze-worthy. Granted, I feel that way about pretty much any remaster they announce now unless it's Red Dead Redemption or Mass Effect (which I know isn't happening)

Thanks--I'll try using Power Within + Great Combustion solo before calling for Solaire. I actually got to Super Ornstein's phase twice last night during my 15-20 tries, but I was nearly out of flasks both times and he killed me with lucky shots.

Do you think I should try upgrading the Silver Knight armor set and wear that instead as long as my weight limit stays under 50%? I doubt the Gold-Hemmed set's high status resistances will help me here.
Remember you can always pop a humanity in a pinch if you run out of flasks, that will completely refill your HP bar, it will also give you a small bit of extra damage since liquid humanity scales up the damage of chaos weapons.

If you want to play with a little more of a safety net you might consider swapping out that grass crest shield for an eagle shield, or putting it on your alt off-hand and switch to it when you start fighting Super Ornstein. It offers 95% protection against physical damage and 75% protection against lightning. Though it weighs 6 units (3 more than grass crest) so it will probably screw up your ability to fast roll without some armor sacrifices.

I personally don't think it's worth burning twinkling on silver knight armor, but if you think you're going to use it long term it would be a good investment.

I dunno, since they delayed Andromeda to Q1 2017, BioWare could release a remastered collection for this year's N7 day (11/7).

World to the West is the new game from Rain Games, who developed Teslagrad. It's a different style of game (still a puzzler) but its set in the Teslagrad universe. Looks cool

I'm using the Crest Shield, not the Grass Crest Shield. I'll consider using the Eagle Shield, though.

I'm also mid-rolling, not fast-rolling, thanks to the Silver Knight Gloves.

Vig just remember in the S & O fight whoever you kill last will let you buy their armor. So if you kill Orienstien first then on NG+ you need to kill Him last to get his armor from the merchant under the bridge near Firelink Shrine.

Since mild is sharing...

I told you guys about this I am sure but this is the April fools joke my daughter played on me two years ago. I leave it hanging up in my cube and it cracks me up every time I look at it.

Those are brown Es, or Brownies.  She asked if I liked brownies and wanted any.  She gave me that and laughed her ass off!

You can see where she got bored of writing them out and the Es got bigger and bigger and more sloppy.  Thats my kid!

I'm more concerned about killing Smough first because Super Ornstein is supposedly a nightmare in NG+.

Huh, Gamestop has the No Man's Sky LE listed for $79.99: http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/no-mans-sky-limited-edition/129027?utm_source=linkshare&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=deeplink&cid=afl_10000087&affID=77777&sourceID=FKSJxY2VJAk-ot18gLBpqJvGvXOlrpwEsw

If Best Buy screwed up on the MSRP, I might preorder that if Amazon lists it.

Here's a more legible list of what's in the LE:

  • No Man's Sky Limited Edition Includes:
  • SteelBook case including No Man's Sky PS4 game
  • Adventures in No Man's Sky Comic - Featuring two stories set in the No Man's Sky universe, with contributions from Watchmen co-creator Dave Gibbons, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Star Trek: Titan writer James Swallow, and sci-fi illustrator Angus McKie
  • The Art of No Man's Sky - 48 page art book featuring a host of concept art
  • PS4 Dynamic Theme - Immerse yourself in the world of No Man's Sky with this unique PlayStation®4 system theme with beautiful abstract art inspired by the game's vast, mysterious universe.
  • Bonus In-game DLC:
  • PHOTONIX CORE - An advanced ship boost that will speed up your voyage as you travel through the stars.
  • TRADER CHARISMA - Receive a bonus set of valuable resources to gain an advantage in selling and trading.

by the way if you guys haven't ever browsed pictures of Robert Wadlow (the tallest man in history with recorded proof) you should definitely go for it.  these pictures are incredibly surreal.

Yeah, 8' 11.1". People who know about this stuff seem to think he would've continued to grow maybe into his 40s if the infection didn't kill him.
I'm sure it was pretty agonizing for him physically and I wouldn't want to wish pain on anyone like that, but damn it would've been cool to see how big he'd get over 20 more years.

I doubt the silver gloves add enough protection to give up fast rolling, though it has been awhile since I've played just normal NG. Have you been mid-rolling the entire time or did you add the gloves to try and help you survive a few hits? I would imagine boosting lightning damage blocked with the shield would be a better trade-off.

Might might also consider swapping out some gold hemmed pieces for upgraded hard leather / black leather pieces. Just upgrading hard leather gloves with shards would give as much lightning protection as silver knight glove (without upgrading with twinkling) and at 2 less weight. Upgrading it with large shards and 1 chunk would give you the same physical protection too as the unupgraded silver knight gaunt and more lightning protection.

Black leather chest piece weighs less than the gold hemmed set and offers more physical and lightning protection if you upgrade with shards and large shards. The thief mask would also be a good way to shed a little weight and gain a little extra protection through upgrades over gold hemmed.

That is how pituitary gigantism works. Now they can stop it with a surgery. The tallest guy alive now had the surgery. I think he had it done soon after he crossed the 8 foot mark.
Yeah the internet says this guy's case was different, that it wasn't from a tumor or something pushing on his gland like normal gigantism. His pituitary gland was just abnormally large and produced way too much HGH.

Of course I know nothing of the subject and this is just what I read, so take it with a grain of salt.

That No Man's Sky LE does look damn pretty and is tempting.  I may be starting to buy into the hype of the game.

Speaking of E3 games that we haven't heard about since, what's going on with that bad-ass looking robot mech dinosaur hunting with the girl from Brave game?

So much for being "exclusive". I wonder if this means Amazon will also get the steelbook, I'd prefer to get it there since I have credit.
So can I order it from there, use the code for the digital version and then return it?

The digital code is all I want. Although the kids probably won't let me watch it at home either.

Not sure, I never buy this stuff. Star Wars Blu-Rays are literally the only ones I own, oh and one Nirvana one.

Probably won't see too much more of that one until E3 again. I think current speculation is Holiday this year? Hell if I can remember the name of that one right now though, and I'm really excited for it lol.
