So it's an artificial limb simulator? I don't even think that people with artificial limbs will want to play that.

But they SOLD OUT PREORDERS!  ITS GOT MASSIVE HYPE!

Never mind the first batch is less than a thousand or some ridicuously low number.

Has anyone ever tried just putting in a bunch of random characters for playstation codes over and over again? I feel with the billions of codes out there you're bound to get something random to redeem eventually.
Keep in mind that PSN cards have to be activated, so even if you know a valid code you basically have the window of time between somebody buying the digital code/physical card and when they redeem it. That's a very large pool of possible numbers and letters and a very small period to find a valid combination.

Thanks practical polly, way to kill the dream.

So I bought Uncharted 3 from the sale, and I'm confused by all the shit in my download list. Most of it is just MP map packs, but then there's single player experience, single player experience 2D movies, and single player experience 3D movies. They're all at least 11 GB each. I don't know what the hell I need to download.

I should've just paid $5 for the fucking disc at GS last night.

I don't think it's going to flop as badly as a couple of you guys seem to. I personally have little interest in it, but so far it's seeming like a lot of people who have tried it out are really into it. I just think VR will have better and more practical uses outside of the gaming industry.

I see or hear this a lot. What uses outside of gaming? Pretty sure they have had VR in combat training for a while now. This is just better VR for them but nothing to hype about.

Rehab.

People stuck in hospitals with chronic diseases to see the outside world again.

Porn.

I'm not interested in VR at all even if it was given to me free. The only thing that I think could be cool as far as VR experience goes is if they had the Apollo 11 mission and I could make the first step on the moon.

I think the cost is going to limit the success of VR regardless if they ever make anything good or people would want to play.

Well, you can play uncharted 3 in 3D, so that must be the 2D and 3D cutscene videos. So if you only plan to play in 2D you can skip the 3D file. A thread I found says you also need the free to play MP downloaded as it is the base game and the singleplayer stuff is addons to it.

But ya, you probably should have just bought the GOTY disc.

Did you see how slow those hands clenched? Its going to look like Robot Wars.

Also I don't know where you guys have been but they have had POV and VR porn for while now. The only extra reality this will add is the raping of your wallet.

Unless the VR headset is going to project a real woman with real skin to touch and a real vagina to get into I dont see how VR is good for porn.  Its just more work having to wear something and move your arms around in the air when you just sit in front of a screen and take care of yourself with current porn.  and you can keep track of your surroundings and not get surprised by people coming up on you.

Nobody with kids would be able to use this.  And a lot of married people with kids need porn.

After the first few levels it stops being sonic with an elephant, and turns into "walk very slowly and carefully because if you keep running like the game pretends it wants you to, you'll miss half the level and then run into a death tank/fire/stupidly placed brick wall."
That description sounds exactly like Sonic to me.

Download the SP experience and the 2D movies (or 3D if you're weird and want to play in 3D) but I think you might have to download one of the multiplayer experience things too to get the game to launch. Pretty sure that's how it worked when we got it on Plus.

Tours/exploration type things. Virtual tours could be huge for any number of reasons.

Main thing I always think of is training for a bunch of different professions, not just combat. Doctors for example. Once they get VR cost down to consumer friendly levels and improve the equipment somewhat, it'll be a lot easier to train people to do certain things without the typical costs and risks.

Meh.. we already have Surgeon Simulator and it doesn't even need VR!

Mild explained it a little better. Rather than running and then dashing or jumping on enemies, you have to stop a lot more and fire water at everything. Its definitely a different feel and it ends up more frustrating than fun. Sonic, for me at least, usually ends up on the fun rather than frustrating side.

Lame, only the Vita Jak Collection is on sale. The individual Jak 1 for PS3 is a great price, but I assume that will lock you out from being able to buy the PS3 collection if it is ever super cheap. Though if 2 is such a steaming pile maybe I should only play 1 and forget about the other two sequels..

Let's see how many lurkers actually post and stay here. Oh wait we don't give away free game codes everyday. Gotta pay your dues if you want free shit especially from Cro.

I would like to try PS VR. I don't see spending $400 on it (even though I think that's a good price point given the other VR options), but if a friend has it, I'm keen to try it out.

I'm sure there are bots built to do this, if Sony is smart it will have some sort of time-out on PSN codes if you miss too many in a row.

Assuming 34 possible digits (exlcuding O and I, not sure if Sony uses those in their codes) and 12 digits per PSN code, there would be 2,386,420,700,000,000,000 different possible codes.

Even if there were 2 billion active codes at any one time, the percent chance you could guess one would be 0.000000000838075%

I suck with the "e+ and e-" on calculators but pretty sure that's right.

You can put in random codes and maybe win, sure, but there's a decent chance that instead of a $50 PSN card, what you'll end up with is the Hannah Montana Fashions costume for PSP.
