PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Until Dawn, played some more last night. It doesn't feel too much like a game and I'm not usually upset about games not being games but I'm not sure if it's just that I'm into the story so far so it seems like less of a game or if it's not really much of a game.
Just play the damn game, geez...

For reference, it's 4x more expensive to produce Vita carts than PS4 discs (if you only order the minimum quantities). If your game is 2GB+ or costs $34.99+, the cost can jump to 6x or higher vs PS4. Most sane publishers would look at the costs vs profits and back away slowly.

Due to that we're probably going to be the only publisher doing small Vita runs. We're happy to be doing this because we're not driven by profits.

This season of Person of Interest will be the final season. Only 13 episodes, starts May 3 with new episodes on Monday and Tuesday of each week.

Sucks that it's getting burnt off like that after having a good run. I hope they wrap it up in a satisfying way.
Saw this last night, kinda bummed but I really don't know how much farther they can take this story. The lady and I just finished up season 4 last night.

I really liked the finale, though.
I agree that parts of Season 4 were definitely a dip in quality, but like you I liked the finale alot.

I think I may 100% Cannoli after all. The second of the two "beat this level without killing anything" trophies was easy as hell. Only died like 5 times I think. The rest of the trophies I have left seem pretty easy.

XSEED posted on their FB wall that there's not going to be a special edition released for Trails of Cold Steel II since the limited edition of the first game has a spot for the second game's case.

Not sure if anybody was waiting on that, but there you go.
I still have it preordered for the 0.0000001% chance the double-dip discount shows up.

I really like this box art for the unofficially-announced Bioshock: The Collection: http://gematsu.com/2016/03/bioshock-collection-box-art-surfaces-taiwan-rating

Hey, how about some of you start that F2P War of Gems game and guild up with me... seems like a very lightweight game that we could team up on... the more of us that join and play, the more we'll all benefit.

Dead Nation Vita complete.

CrazyD, thanks for running through the co-op with me.

I tried to start this game a couple of times. Never got.past 5 minutes. Thought it was not for me. But Wren kept going on and on about it, so I pushed through the first chapter and I was hooked.

Some really tough sections especially on Morbid mode.

Wren, is the Road to Devestation DLC worth a play? Did it come for free with the PS4 version?
Morbid is a lot of fun. Requires good strategy to stay alive but there is always a way to get out alive and I never felt like I didnt have a chance. Road to Devastation was worth it to me. Its more of the same gameplay but with score/health and weapon upgrade routes. Im pretty sure it was free with the PS4 version.

ALIENATION HYYYPPPPEEE!!!!

I will never have a tattoo because I know I will get tired of whatever I got after a month.  And I dont get putting family members names on your skin either.  I can remember my loved ones without having it spelled out in the mirror in front of me thanks very much.

I don't know if I'll ever get back to playing it. The only trophies I have left are the ones for level 50 and level 100 and fuck that grind. I can't remember if there's any benefit to me being in your guild if I don't actually play but if I can remember I'll hop on and do it sometime anyway.

I appreciate it but I'm not sure it does anything if you're not playing. I wouldn't worry about it if that's all you have left; I wasn't actually planning on playing it this much but right now it's a nice game to zone out with. I haven't actually made a guild for people to join yet, was going to gauge interest in here before doing it. Right now I'm in a group that has about 10 people but only about 3 are active in it.

I'm waiting on Axiom Verge Vita. Looks like it'd be a great fit.

Also this game seems interesting. Just announced for Steam/XB1 so far, though. Can't remember if it was shown in the MS conference last year at E3:

No surprise here, but it looks like another Atelier localization is about to be announced:

Finished Rise of Tomb Raider this morning.  I played it on the default difficulty which was pretty easy.  Maybe 3 spots in the whole game were even remotely challenging at that difficulty.  If you liked Tomb Raider 2013 you should like this.  Seems a bit scaled back in scrap collectibles and has micro transactions if you want them.  I didn't bother.  Basically some sort of cards system.  You get a bunch just for playing.  I didn't even mess with those till almost the end.  Unlocked a bunch of stuff that made it even easier to mow down most enemies without much effort.

I think I like 2013 better.  This seemed a bit slow to get going.  To be fair the first two days I played it I was messing around with a laptop trying to get Windows 7 installed and updated.  It did get rolling after a while but seems like most of the cool stuff isn't unlocked till closer to the end.

Anyway fun game probably replay it for trophies when cheap on PS4.

Alright you menace. I just queued it up. I'll join your guild. Anyone doing that, also grab the PS+ bundle, which in spite of the name is not a bundle with the game. You also have to get the game.

Oh, and it's Gems of War, you dipshit.

TLDR: Play on PS4 since Xbox sucks

Hold onto your butts.

So I dreamt last night that Scrooge McDuck wanted to take Duckburg into the 3rd dimension, so he sought out a powerful artifact called the All Spark to wish for it to make it so, unfortunately it has a monkey's paw-like effect. Scrooge McDuck and Co. (Huey, Dewey, Louis, Mrs. Beakly, Webbie, etc.) are sucked up into a portal in the sky and when they come down they are indeed in a 3D, live-action Duckberg. Initially they are the same 2D drawings, but over a few seconds they morph into 3D models of Scrooge McDuck and Co. but just as quickly they continue morphing into live action actors in Planet of the Apes style gorilla-man makeup. It turns out all the ducks in "Duckberg" are now Ape-men for some reason. The actors playing the live-action Scrooge McDuck group are now all actors from the Brady Bunch movie from the 90's. This bizarro Duckberg is ruled by the police force who are humans in 1930's style cop uniforms. They are all played by former child actors and their character names are their most famous character: Detective Punky Brewster, Officer Wesley Owens, etc. That's all I can remember.

Cal's starting point guard broke his hand in practice yesterday. Adjust your brackets accordingly.
You know since I care less and less about basketball as I get older and I have never really cared much about completing a bracket for the tournament, I am starting to understand more about why people that dont follow sports act the way they do towards them.

So many people are constantly talking about brackets and who has who that its gotten to the point that even I get disgusted by the constant conversation about it. Mainly because its such a crap shoot and complete luck if you get a lot of your picks right and yet people act like they know what they are doing all the time.

Ugh, Im just getting too old for this shit. Get off my lawn!

Is there anything that you DO like anymore? Except maybe tits of course.

I have almost no interest in college sports in general. I've filled out brackets the past couple years, just cause it's fun to see if I can accidentally guess my way into a decent bracket. 64 teams is way too many for me to even pretend to know what I'm doing.

That said, I had Cal making it to the sweet 16. Time to swap!

Yeah it looks pretty cool. It should be a timed console exclusive for Xbox. It's by Capybara, the same guys that made Super Time Force, so the wait until we get Below will probably be about the same as it was for STFU.

I don't get why the character avatar is so fucking tiny on the screen.

yeah, i like my family, friends, alcohol, porn and the occasional video game and movie or tv show.  but fuck if the rest of the world isnt annoying as hell to me...anymore...  lol

They've said they want part of the feel of the game to be about the exploration of the world. Making the terrain you explore huge in comparison to the character is a design decision to support that.

Unlike wren, this is my just about my favorite two days of the year.

Off all day both days and will just sit and watch college basketball and drink beer all damn day.

Not driven by profits? Oh boy. So how's a little niche company going to survive if they lose money?
Unless there's extra posts in that thread I'm not seeing, they're probably just operating on narrower profit margins than the industry typically does. From what I've seen of limited run, it doesn't look like their expenses should be too high in general. And they're also throwing enough PS4 games into the lineup that they're probably taking some profit off of them to help cover the extra expense on the vita side. With the companies they've been dealing with so far, I can't really see it costing them double to license both a PS4 version and Vita version. Might explain why they've been getting so many crossbuy games.

I guess its because I am very lazy with things I dont like. Since I dont care much about basketball I cant even put the effort to fill out a bracket because there are so many teams. Then again, I love football and I couldnt even get myself to fill out the weekly PSNOT challenges on espn.

So I didn't actually look at the poll results til now, saw that 4 people voted yes so I tried to use my talents at being judgmental to figure out who it was. 0/2 so far with two people still yet to vote (thanks for making me wrong Kilik and Cleaner, go get a tattoo you assholes!)

Mild I was 50/50 on so no big surprise there. CrazyDiamond I definitely thought that he did but just didn't think he had voted yet. But yeah, still depressed with my stereotyping abilities right now.
How in the world would you think I have a tattoo????

Im with you on cleaner though, big surprise for me, and sage too, figured would she too.

Thought wren might have something stupid like a tramp stamp from getting too drunk in college.

There has only been one time in my life where I didn't have full control of my faculties when drunk. One of my two best friends was killed when I was in college. That night I went to a frat party and drank an entire bottle of tequila (I shared shots with other people too) and other things I guess. I remember seeing the empty bottle at some point and thats it. That was pretty early in the evening too apparently.

Its the only time I blacked out and don't remember what I did or how I got to my friends place the next morning. The next morning my friends told me that I took a piss off the second floor balcony in front of everyone and then coudlnt get my pants zipped up again. Another brother had to assist. And it was cold that night too dammit!

Anyway I never have before or since gotten so bad that I dont remember what I did or have control over myself. When I post nonsense here I know what I am doing.

Also, no more straight tequila. Only Margaritas!
