PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Oh, look. It accidentally happened again.

good to know i picked a lasting bracket name

Pete, is it safe to assume you remote played Peggle 2? Was there any touch screen nonsense controls or does it all map to buttons that make sense? Seems like something good for playing on the Vita while watching TV.
I think I did the whole plat over remote play or close to it. No touchscreen nonsense, just normal controls.

So several "it's super cheap, why not pick it up in case I ever want to play it some day" picks, but I decided to go with this:

Prince of Persia PS3 HD games and Forgotten Sands
Dirt 3
Pid
Explodemon! (been waiting on a sale for this for awhile)
Fighting Force PS1 (1 of the first PS1 games I got was a demo disc that had this on it, I played it a lot but never bought the actual game)
Namco Museum Essentials
Silent Hill PS1
C & C: Red Alert PS1 (since it can be transferred to the vita via PS3 according to the other thread)
Rayman 2 & 3
Manhunt PS2
Code: Realize Guardians of Rebirth - It supposedly has the best story of the crop of visual novels which are in the flash sale. Set in Victorian Londan it has you interacting with the likes of Sherlock Holmes, Victor Frankenstein, Van Helsing, etc. Had my eye on it from the last sale but didn't want to pay $24. $12 is more palatable.

Just want to point out that though Silent Hill 1 is not listed as PSV compatible, it is on the list of games that can be transferred to Vita via PS3.

Platinum #450 in the books.  I forgot that New Little King's Story trophies are in Japanese on PSNP.  Still loved the game and happy to have it as a milestone.

It does--I didn't expect the story to be as enjoyable as it was. Norn9 (also in the sale) was disappointing by comparison.

I'm on the fence with that Code Realize. Does it least have some puzzles or something like Zero Escape? Or is it all novel/story?

Less than $10 is probably where my price point for it is.

Zags are taking it to the Fighting Tylers.
Yeah they got destroyed. I didn't even it turn it on.

My community college won the NJCAA championship tonight though, so that's really cool. Streaming on the NJCAA site was surprisingly decent.

Hopefully we have a big party or something for the team this week.

They should hire Microsoft's dancers but make them wear something completely non-revealing like a pantsuit. Or a early 1900s bathing suit, although that may show too much below the knee.

I've been using Burman's ketchup with no high fructose corn syrup from Aldi for awhile now.  I also like Trader Joe's.  As long as the ketchup isn't runny, has a good color and taste, I'm fine with it and these both make the grade.

I wish they caught her crying while playing it because then it would have been

I think I'll watch that episode before I crash for the night.  Just looking at the screencaps from that episode had me cracking up.

Game of Thrones is so depressing to play. I was expecting it to be around Walking Dead level, but it's worse by quite a bit. Every single character is in a shitty situation that doesn't show any sign of letting up. Halfway through ep3 and kinda regretting that I started it now. Damn the temptation of easy trophies.

I was planning to play Life is Strange next, but that's harsh as well, isn't it? Might have to play something else first to break them up a bit.

It's now been over a day since I made my Sony Rewards order with points+CC for a PSN card. Still no code and I have 9 flash sale items to use it towards.

Ah well. I imagine I'll buy buying $10 PSN space bucks from Amazon this afternoon.

Did my first video review.

Feel free to let me know what you think if you watch it.
Your word choice and phrasing was silly in places but the delivery was good. I would have liked to have seen more varied aspects of the gameplay replace maybe half the time you spent showing the gem-matching bit, though; the additional gem-matching footage didn't reveal anything extra about the game so it was just wasted video to accompany your narration. Showing footage of what you were talking about with the mission types and such would have been more interesting.

Not bad for a first effort. I think it'll work better if you do decide to put more time into it and take the effort to splice together more from various bits of gameplay.

Thanks for mentioning Deadly Tower of Monsters a while back Pete.  I am not sure if I would have ever looked at it otherwise.  The campy commentary is great.  The gameplay so far is not very deep, but still fun.

Also, Peggle 2 was worth the $1.50 if for no other reason than the second area being full of Big Lebowski references.  It played perfectly over remote play as you mentioned.

I hated Life is Strange, but I was also excited to play it after hearing it was the best game of last year by all of GAF. You might like it after hearing it was disappointing from people like me and Gator.

I think expectations can have a lot to do with how people perceive things. If I went into Life is Strange with a more realistic expectation of the game, I probably would have enjoyed it more.

I know no one cares but I think the pink shoes help. A little left but she got it in the air nicely.
