I think I am just as bummed for Northern Iowa as I am excited for Wisconsin. I'm not sure I believe what happened even after seeing it a second time. That shit was so bad it looked choreographed.

 
Sounds like some God awful closing out in these games. I'm gonna have to watch highlights. I guess Texas am outscored Iowa 14-2 in the last 30 seconds. How is that even possible?!?!

It was unreal. Horrible inbounding was the main culprit. I still can't believe it happened.

Northern Iowa completely fell apart and deserved to lose, 12 point lead with 44 seconds left and you can't close the deal?!  Wren could close the deal with a chick better than that!

Idiots is not nearly harsh enough.

That was one of the worst displays of basketball I've ever seen. Did they NEVER practice full court press? Dribbling through traffic? Every time one of their players had the ball they looked like a deer in headlights, completely in shock and not knowing what to do.

That was so bad it is almost suspicious. Like the head coach got a phone call with 40 seconds left that his wife and children were being held hostage and would be executed unless Northern Iowa lost the game. After they turned the ball over they didn't even try to play defense! I'm going to just believe that was the cause for their poor play, because anything else inexcusable.

Man that was an all time choke job. Holy shit!

As bad as that inbounding was that was a bullshit foul call on the drive. The dude might have grazed his arm but he was clearly not affecting the shot and getting out of the way.

And it just makes those stupid as ESPN winning probability statistics even fucking stupider. At one point it was 99.99% sure that UNI would win. Those statistics are so fucking stupid and worthless.

I normally wouldn't have posted that here, but several of us preordered it when Amazon's listing first went up and I don't think everyone canceled it when the double-discount didn't appear.

 
PSA - If you have an older Kindle (2012 or before) that you haven't used in awhile, you'll need to do an update, otherwise it won't be able to connect to Amazon or their cloud sync after the 22nd.  After the 22nd, you'll have to do the update via a USB and a file from Amazon.

The refs were crap from when I started watching with about 10 to go in the 2nd half.
 
Zotrix is on sale, though I didn't see it on the flash sale list anywhere. It's $3.74, 75% off. Pretty blah shooter but the platinum would be easy if you are patient with boring gameplay.

I wouldn't recommend it but figured I'd still mention it just in case.

Technology is so awesome.

Before moving all my shit for my new carpet, my PS3 had no problem passing through an HDMI switch before reaching my TV. But since I moved everything back, my PS3 is refusing t work properly when passing through the HDMI switch.

I tried all 3 ports on the HDMI switch with no luck. Tried 3 different cables, all which worked fine when the PS3 was connected straight to the TV. HDMI switch still has no problem handling my PS4 and blu-ray picture in all 3 slots, so the switch isn't defective.

Absolutely no reason that the PS3 shouldn't be able to pass video through the HDMI switcher. Worked just fine for me for years.

I loved Madness Returns. If I were you I'd watch a few let's play videos to see if it's looks fun to you. Great story, voice acting, atmosphere, etc. Gameplay is fun and solid; pretty standard though. But for the love of god, don't play the first one... just go ahead and pretend it doesn't exist.

Sam and Max is very corny but my son loves it (even though he just watches me play it and a lot of the jokes go over his head). Standard point and click, nothing too special here and while I usually roll my eyes at a lot of the jokes, it got a few laughs out of me. Again, I'd watch a few videos of any in the series to get a taste for what you're in for... doesn't really matter which one, they're all pretty much the same.

Sam can be a little wonky sometimes when trying to select a few things but nothing too horrible. I don't remember having any issues at all with Madness Returns.

So is the new tell tale engine going to have 90s level graphics that run at 25 fps instead of 80s graphics at 15?

I bought The Devil's Playhouse when it was $0.99 and have yet to play it. I think this one came out before it. I still have Monkey Island to play too... I'm just thinking that is probably more than enough of these type of games for me, IF I ever get around to playing them.

Madness Returns does look cool. I have $1.54 left in my wallet...

Am I imagining things or wasn't there an option before to pay the difference with your credit card if you didn't have enough in your wallet to cover a purchase, without having to add the minimum $5? Now I have to add $5 every time. Not that it matters much since I'll use it eventually, but the other option was nice to have.

 
Since I had to add the $5 I went ahead and got Sam & Max as well. May never even play it but fuck it. It'll be there if I ever want to.
