PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

So since I didn't get to drink any having the flu and all, I guess that's a good a time as any to stop drinking daily like I had wanted to. I really want a beer now though after going 5 days without one so I won't rule out weekday drinking altogether yet.

Jesus they put waaaaayyyyy to much work into a complete guess job. I stopped reading after the first two paragraphs. I have no idea what they are saying anyway. Just tell me if games play smoothly at 4K or not when its released and Ill either buy it or not.
They basically go through 3 educated guess outlines based on what we know about amds roadmap for their chips, which is what the ps4 and ps4k use or will use.

It is guessing but pretty educated guessing. In the end they basically conclude to what im saying, ps4 that can do 4k output of movies and they add in that games could make use of 4k spec stuff other than the resolution, like HDR. HDR would be cool if they could add to new and patch in to old games, but way too limited potential user base, not many 4k tvs out there and not even all 4k tv even due HDR I think.

I'm not sure I like this (what I assume is) 60FPS for Dark Souls II on PS4. It just feels/looks weird.
Yep, it's 60fps.

It's funny that an increased level of responsiveness makes the game feel weird. Funny in a sad way--it's a shame so many games run at 30fps or don't even manage that.

Does Amazon not typically ship game pre-orders until the day before release?  I have the Prime same-day delivery shipping for The Show, but it still says "preparing your order" when I check the status of it.  My CC has been charged though.

I'm getting more used to it, but after playing Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne all at 30fps, the much-faster movement took me off-guard at first.

I got my shipping email last night. As long as it says the delivery date is tomorrow, you should be good.

It's an immediately noticeable difference after playing three Souls games (Bloodborne included) at a "slower" fps rate. I'm still having fun with it.
And now you get to look forward to DS3 being 30fps and messing you up all over again.

Came home to work on a program that only has a windows installer. Software won't fucking install on my PC. No matter where I try to install it, it says I don't have access to a directory and I should check with the administrator to see if I have access. I am the administrator. *rage quits and plays peggle all day*
So in other words, you had work to do but you subconsciously locked yourself out from doing it so you could play games all day.

If I were you I'd buy your subconscious a drink.

Kind of confused on how it would affect you so negatively... it should just make it smoother, not actually faster.
The other Souls games felt more cinematic at 30fps, so it was initially jarring to be moving smoother.

And "so negatively"? I only said the 60fps-ness felt a bit weird at first and I'm getting used to it now.

This is probably it. I figured it out and got it to install around 4:30. Guess I REALLY didn't feel like doing any work today.

In other news, I did finish all the main levels of peggle, and the third chapter of saturday morning rpg.

Zimm, Target is bullshit and I'm glad you're getting out.  I went there today to try to find some discounted Cadbury Creme Eggs, and they didn't have any.  Now I have to try CVS.

Saw Batman V Superman. It was great. It takes the queue from the Nolan films adding as much grit and realism to a super heroe movie as could reasonably expect. Differing from the Marvel approach of adding heavy sarcasm. I appreciate both ways but really like the darkness and seriousness of the Nolan Batmans and now this movie.

Critics got it wrong. Yes it's long, but I loved it all. Never got bored.

Go see it!
I was watching the news this morning and they reported that BvS was #1 at the box office (duh) but had bad critical reviews. They said it had a 29% on Rotten Tomatos. And it still does as of now. lol Do people really expect most super hero movies to be masterpieces? They should just be fun, a little corny and have a lot of action/explosions and it is all good.
Thanks for being the few at CAG that get it. I posted some positive comments in the talkback thread and mentioned it's better than Catwoman.

They disagreed.

That's not a very bold prediction... almost like saying the next show is going to have zombies.

They're teasing everyone with Glenn being captured since a lot of people know how he dies in the comic and I wouldn't be surprised if they do another "Glenn's dead!!!" moment at the end of the finale just to show that he survived again once the next season starts. The show is starting to get on my nerves with some of the stupid shit that they make the characters do and how they make them act just to create some drama. And Darrell being shot at the end was dumb... I guess everyone is supposed to freak the fuck out because it's Darrell but we know he's going to be okay.

Out of the four they have captured the only one that would get it is Rosita and they're not going to do that because they're obviously building things up for her with the whole Abraham/Sasha relationship (I guess they could tie it up in the finale but it seems like they have something planned there). My guess is Carol. They always put a strong focus on main characters before they die and they've been zeroing in on her a lot lately... you can tell her time is just about up. I've actually been expecting her to die for the last several episodes. Either that or Neagen seemingly beats someone to death with his bat (probably Glenn or Darrell) but in the season premier we'll find out they're still alive.
Yeah, I was purposefully vague on my prediction because I didn't want to get into specifics as it could possibly ruin the fun for someone that clicked the spoiler. Some people can't help themselves from clicking a spoiler button. But since you went there in your spoiler tag, I'll go there with you...

I am vaguely aware of the comic storyline. I do know the show follows it pretty closely. So with that said, Neagen kills Glen as you mentioned in the comics.

So my "bold" prediction was that they do not kill Glen but rather they kill Daryl. The whole shooting him at the end of the last episode was a teaser in that we all know he will be fine, "cuz they can't possibly kill Daryl right"? We will see in the beginning of the finale that he is fine and everyone can catch a breath. Then bang, Neagen introduces himself to the show by killing off the best character in the show just when we were comfortable he was safe.

I hope it doesn't happen as he continues to be the best thing the show has to offer.

My thought is that Norman's star has been rising and he may want to pursue other acting ventures. And the rumor is he sold his Atlanta home. (Could be BS, or maybe he sold it and bought something new, or maybe it means his character got killed off)
Either way, something to keep in mind for next week.
