PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Make sure the new place has room for some pinball machines. Preferably no steps to where they'll reside.
Speaking of pinball, it was announced that an Ecto-1 exact replica complete with Ghostbuster jumpsuits and proton packs is gonna be at the Ghostbusters pinball launch party at the end of the month. This thing keeps getting better and better.

Isnt it hard though? Wasnt Tyler saying it gets difficult?
There are parts that can get a bit tricky even on the lowest difficulty. I was playing with my 15 year old though. We made it through relatively easily with him manning the shields for the most part and me running around like crazy. Only one boss gave us a really tough time.

The optional ships make it harder so we avoided those. We tried them out, since both had crazy limitations we decided to just always use the Gumball ship.

There's a launch party/tournament in Virginia, but it's almost 2 hours away. Considering it anyway.

Zimm/Pitfall, how do you guys like this whole Conquest mode in MLB? I think it's sort of interesting but not much staying power for it.
I like it a lot, but I've restarted like 5 times because I feel like I made a dumb move, or lost simmed games where I had like 10 million fans to 2 million for the CPU.

There is also some bullshit Mario Kart AI when you're leading a game on the higher difficulties. There'll start being magical wild pitches and booted ground balls, and then you'll square a pitch perfectly and crush it with a power hitter but then it dies at the warning track.

I haven't got to far in. Might have to restart like pitfall since I spread my self pretty thin and almost my whole map is colored in before I even got one stronghold stolen. Been mostly just playing against the Twins since they're closest to my stronghold and I like to look at Target Field and all the downtown buildings. I also suck at hitting in the games on Veteran with usually only one or two hits in the three inning games. But I do really like that the games are only three innings. I'll dig more into, but I've been really addicted to RTTS lately.

I love it. It's my favorite in The Show series. Outside of playing one Saints Row IV mission last night, it's the only game I've touched since Tuesday of last week.
Have you ventured out of Dymond Dynasty yet? And what's your preferred method of upgrading your team? I think you detailed it before but long long ago or some shit. Seems to take a while to get enough stubs even for one pack. I think my team was at an 82 rating last I checked.

I haven't played a single game on The Show yet, I opened my card packs and that's it, been playing Bully instead lol. I figured I'd finish that first considering once I start playing baseball I get addicted to it.

I'm in the queue for The Show from the library, but I've got a bit of wait. I guess I get none of these card packs you all are talking about.

No, I've been playing all Conquest games and a few DD games against the CPU.

I still haven't bought any cards off the market. You can do that if you just want better players. Just make sure to create a buy order instead of purchasing them at asking price. If your offer is the current highest, someone will usually cave and just sell it to you for that price.

Flipping seems to be a bit harder this year. Last year, the tax for sellers was only 5%, and now it's doubled to 10%. This year, the only cards with a worthwhile profit margin are in the 15,000+ range. People are also wanting to complete collections for all the reward cards, so they're offering more stubs on their buy orders. Last year, a card would be selling for 7k, and you could be the top offer at 4k, and someone would sell it for that. Now people are making offers of 6,800 for a 7k card, so there are no profits to be had.

Starting with what I got out of my preorder packs, I've just been selling all doubles or higher value cards that I don't really need and then buying the 20 pack bundles, rinse and repeat. I'm trying to complete the entire NL East set, and to a lesser extent the entire NL collection, so most of my AL cards are listed as soon as I get them.

I'm not sure what my team overall is, I think it's around 84 right now. I haven't really added in any new players for a couple days. My starting pitching sucks, but that's not really a concern in the 3 inning games.

Bad news on the 50% promo at Gamestop, jimbo:

Just left GameStop- guy says that 50% bonus is for division Xbox 1 BUNDLE
Also I scanned trade in and the division as a test btw- no go as of yet
Sorry to have gotten your hopes up. However, they're definitely running a 20% bonus when you preorder Dark Souls 3 or Star Fox Zero (only need to put $5 down to trigger the bonus) through 4/24.

About to finish off the 3rd episode of Saturday Morning RPG, the game is okay but the combat grows pretty tedious. (Charge, then attack, block, charge, attack, repeat ad nausuem). Thank god there aren't any random encounters.

Who the fuck asked for a physical version of OlliOlli? It's a fine game but are we really gonna start making blu-ray discs for a few hundred MB game? Waste of resources for everyone involved.
Couldn't you say that for basically every small digital game that ended up on physical, included the Limited Run stuff? I'd assume it's mostly for big fans/game collectors and then to get on the cheap shelves at Toys R Us/Target and cheap bins at Best Buy.

No problem. If Best Buy doesn't do better then $30 I might trade it to Game Stop and get Ryse and Dead Rising 3 and something for free with the buy 2 used get 1 free coupon I have.

Not sure what to get for the 3rd game though. Guess it would have to be a $20 or less.

Olli Olli was pretty cool and the discs look nice. Can't help but think that would have been better served as a limited run game though.
People were saying stuff like this in the obscure PS4 retail game thread. I don't get it, because there's nothing different between this and Limited Run, except these guys aren't saying its "limited" and printing the numbers on the back of the box. It's weird to me that Limited Run is so popular, seems like everyone is more fascinated by its "limited" status than actually wanting a retail version of the games they make.

I might have said it was hard on normal, which it can be at times. But there are two easier difficulty levels that you can get all the trophies on if you want, the actual plat is easy as cake. There's one timed level that might take a few playthroughs to get all the bunnies, but that's it.

Therm not understanding how trophies work and Kilik's sarcasm not even close to landing. Just another day in the PSNOT.

@Therm that Siralim list is just for a different region's version of the game.
Thought it landed pretty well, jimbo, vig, and chewy fell for it pretty hard.

Id call that a success.

This is a really interesting oral history about how the New Jersey Nets almost changed their name to the Swamp Dragons back in the mid-90s. Lots of cool concept art for the new logo/colors, including the most amazing warmups you'll ever see. Sadly the pics won't embed.

I've always thought your love of all things jersey was weird, but this was a pretty great article. In an alternate universe, I would've had a swamp dragons champion jacket back in the day instead of my hornets one.

At first I skipped the article, but then I realized what the hell else am I going to do on a Friday. It was a great read. I busted out laughing after the part with the vote being 26-1.

I just saw it pop up on the most recent games list. Thought it seemed odd--didn't remember it not being in your trophy card when you played. Is there some way of telling from the trophy list what region it's from? Other than the player data populating I can't see a difference between the two listings. I'd noticed multiple instances of games on PSNP before but have never been able to tell how you tell which region is which.

Hornets in the 90s was a fun team to watch with Muggsy Bogues and Larry Johnson Alonzo Mourning and Glenn Rice

My favorite part of that Swamp Dragons article is imagining David Stearns yelling "This is the stupidest fucking idea I've ever heard!"

Easiest way I know of is to see which country the vast majority of players earning trophies are from. If you look up Teslagrad you'll see there are 4 lists, but on 3 of them theres an abnormally large number of Korean players on there. Therefore those lists are for the Korean version of the game.

Gator might have a better way of doing things than that, but that's usually all I know how to do.
