PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I'm only bothering with this beta because it gets you access to the first DLC pack and a character when the full game releases.

Of course, playing the beta again just re-confirms that I will not be buying the game so I didn't think this all the way through.
Maybe fire it up just for that. I could see picking this up for cheap if it isn't horrible maybe.

Seriously though I mainly golfed in the evenings after work so 18 holes was not going to happen often. Also my golf course wasn't a par 3 (like my nephew plays and breaks 40 all the time because par is 27 lol).
Did you golf at Nagawaukee at all, since I know that's right in your area? I worked a couple summers on the grounds crew there, cutting the grass/tees/greens etc..awesome job, and sooo many free golf balls. At that time I was golfing a lot even though I was bad, at least at putting..but it was always free for me anyways. Nagawaukee is probably one of the prettiest public courses you can find. I probably haven't gone golfing for a couple years, but I'd love to pick it back up. I'm sure I'd go more if I lived in florida, though our falls are probably the best for golf..it's fuck ing snowing right now..ramble ramble

I'm on the last Tennant season of Doctor Who now. I did see that Matt Smith Christmas special which was good and the first episode of Capaldi. We've been on a break for a bit since we were watching that and Torchwood concurrently. Got to be a bit much.

The wife hates Moffat and always has bad things to say about him. Her complaints about him seem to be pretty legitimate from what I've seen of his shows so far. Once he splits it'd be interesting if Capaldi took more of a role in the direction of the show since he's been a mega fan for ~50 years.
Wait, what? So you didn't like Doctor Dances, Girl in the Fireplace and Blink? That's crazy talk. He wrote all of the best episodes in the Davies era.

Let me guess: your wife never watched the original series. I don't know anyone who did who prefers Davies to Moffat.

Shame Popeyes doesn't have the catfish anymore. (Was it cancelled due to environmental concerns?) Popcorn shrimp is still pretty good.

I don't have prime, so even if it is on there, that doesn't do me any good. I just assumed they'd come out with a set that has the 50th special, the Christmas special, and an adventure in space and time like they did in England. But it still hasn't happened.

I like Moffat a lot and season 5 is probably my favorite one overall (I did watch the original series growing up). But I'm not sad he's leaving. I think some fresh blood to mix it up will be good for the show.

Yup, he's a much better writer than he is a showrunner. Although multitasking with Sherlock (which is so damn good) might be to blame for some of that.

Battleborn is pretty fun. Didn't hve to wait in any queues like I did in the closed beta. 30 seconds to start up the match and load everybody in and it was a go. No problem with matchmaking either. Played as Oscar Mike since he seems like a decent starter character. Aim and shoot.

Therm was right, Salt and Sanctuary is actually fun.

And it's not really all that tough. I switched to axe and shield because I felt like my longsword was still overpowered. Now that I'm understanding how to play the game, no major issues so far.

Her problems with Moffat are the way he reuses dialogue from his earlier shows (word for word regurgitates sentences and conversations), keeps attempting long story arcs he doesn't have the writing skill to maintain without plot holes everywhere, his issues with racism and sexuality, and his consistently poor portrayal of women (he's made tons of very sexist comments and this comes out in his writing.) She'd certainly be able to name episodes with problems but her issues are more with his overall handling of the show, I think.

She has watched older Doctor Who but I'm not sure which exactly. And by older I mean pre-Eccleston and Davies, not just Tennant and newer. I know she's watched everything from Eccleston to partway into Capaldi.

I started this a week or two ago and it seemed like it would be really cool. Once I finish Bully I plan on going to this next.

Yeah I only golfed Nag a few times, but it always was an awesome course. It definitely was the crown jewel of the Waukesha County Parks Golf Courses, better than most public courses. My main course was Songbird Hills because it was closer and easier to get a tee time at a moments notice.

Didnt realize Homefront: The Revolution was open world. Watching some gameplay of it and it looks pretty good. The weapon modding is pretty cool and it looks like there are traps set up all over the city for ambushing patrols and shit. Game looks mighty purdy, too.

Wolf among us triple Plat get.

Enjoyed it just as much as the first two times I went through it. Still favorite telltale game, with got right behind it.

Really need to look into getting Fable graphic novel, just need to figure out a good one to start with.

Sweet I can't wait to play after Mild sends me in sloppy seconds.

Lame it looks lie there is no competitive multiplayer in this one. Instead there are 4 player coop missions. Guess that mp was one of the best parts of the original.

fucking Hulu. For Arrow right now they have episode 10, episode 11.... then episode 14, 15 and 16. WTF? Why not 12 through 16 as the five to choose from?
Probably they repeated episode 10 and 11 recently, as it's the last 5 to air that are available I think.

I don't believe I have ever made the top 50 fastest to 100% any game on psnprofiles before, but I am now the 21st fastest to complete Warframe. It just doesn't seem right.

Having actually been able to play the Battleborn beta a bit more I could see it almost being a fun game. But the matchmaking is as terrible as it was during the previous beta. I waited 5 minutes between matches (from queuing up till getting past the character select screen) and I ended up quitting that game because other people had already quit and the teams were going to be uneven. Seems like every match there's at least one disconnect and they never throw in an extra person to fill out the teams. I know they would be behind but just having anyone there would be better than nothing. Fastest time to get into a match is around 2 1/2 minutes. It feels like a giant waste of time.

I didn't realize that progression hasn't been capped so far so I've been able to try out some new characters. They feel different but so far you don't get a good sense of how they would work in an organized team. Betas definitely suck for these objective based games since it never feels like anyone else know what they are doing.

Other complaint I have is that it feels like it takes forever to get a kill. I'm not doing poorly according to the scoreboard so it doesn't appear to be about my ability so much as the design. You probably have to attack someone for 20+ seconds to get a kill. Just doesn't feel like you're accomplishing anything.

Easy pass for me. Doesn't help that much more fun looking games are coming out around the same time.

Why wouldn't you start with #1? :whistle2:k

The wife has been building her Fables collection for quite a while--she checks at McKay around once a week and slowly has been able to pick up volumes for cheap. Only one left to buy--once she finds that I'll be reading it myself.

Apparently Sony changed their trophy policies and Warframe is going to get more trophies sometime soon, so I would not get too comfortable being on that list.

I wonder if this means Pinball Arcade can retroactively add trophies to all those tables that came out without them. That'd be sweeeeeeet.

Yep, Uncharted 2 is miles ahead of the first one in just about every way. I'm actually not dreading doing the PS4 version like I was with the first one.

fuck those DLC trophies though. The MP modes took me so long to connect to a game, I felt like I was playing Battleborn or some shit.

eh cause the start of a comic aint necessarily the best story arc in the comic.
