PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I've played through the entire series by this point and I still don't know what's going on in this gif:

The BBC show is oddly inconsistent. S1E1 and E3 are great, E2 is bleh. S2 E1 and E3 are fantastic, E2 is bleh. S3 overally didn't have any standout episodes, I thought.

The actors are great in their roles, though. Adler and Moriarty were both fantastic and hopefully they'll at least bring Adler back at some point. Plus I did like John's new friend in S3 even though the episodes weren't as good.

Did anybody watch the special? The whole Victorian London setting wasn't an appealing concept so I didn't bother checking it out. I'd try it if people in here thought it was worthwhile, though.

Salt and Sanctuary review

I liked it a lot. Therm is right, it's really not that hard. You'll die a good amount but even without grinding a lot of the end game stuff will feel a bit weak. To me it felt inaccessible at the start, I guess if you are big into RPGs you know what things like scaling and dexterity mean. That was kind of all new to me and the game (like Dark Souls) doesn't really bother explaining any of it. It just kinda assumes you know. So therm helped me a good amount on the first stream and I had to google a few things to see what they meant. So really the game was more intimidating to me, especially at the start, than it was actually difficult.

Anyways, it's good. Big. Lots of combat. about 18 hours for my first playthrough.

That's a history of PVP scrubs moves (some of which where fixed in balance patches). The Gif is going really, really fast, but I think it's:

Demon's Souls

1.)Dual wielding katana which allows you stun lock your target with a combination of push, and then an attack from which you can only escape by swapping your weapon.

2.)Is the Dragonbone smasher, a beastly STR weapon with Cursed weapon cast on it (+50% extra damage) that knocks people down, wearing light thief's gear so you can fast roll

Dark Souls

Not sure which sword, but it's the combination of havel ring (to increase max equp burden) and dark wood grain ring (to change from roll to ninja flip) which allows you to fast ninja flip in heavy armor, I think that's the giant's armor which has good defense/weight ratio.

Dark Souls 2

A "broken" Santier's spear which has infinite durability, high damage, and uses the flashy twinblade moveset. Mixed with I believe Havel's armor and maybe Dark Dance which fire multiple homing projectiles.

Bloodborne

Haven't played bloodborne, I assume it's another OP gun

Dark Soul's 3

I assume that is a reference to the weapon arts, wondering if they will be OP.

I've read through that entire post by this point and I still don't know what's going on in that gif

I usually don't buy a Lego game until they're under $10. They drop in price pretty quickly.

The Harry Potter one is slightly tempting but I never got that far in the books or movies.

Ill pick it up when its 10 or less, good review there T-Sauce.

I didn't know for sure who that was either, Crazy.
Yea I never did the comic book thing when I was a kid. I thought it was superman, but at least I know he's not marvel. How many of these superhero movies do we need? Just money having to waste on the kids needing to see them. I am hyped for suicide squad though! Anything batman and xmen are cool with me.

Did someone post a picture of him before? I think I heard the name mentioned, but no idea who that is.
I only know it's Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, a neurosurgeon who delves into magic and becomes a master of it. He's basically Tony Stark in the mystical sense rather than scientific.

Doubt many (any?) of you played them, but Ska Studios has t-shirts from some of their older games on sale.

http://store.ska-studios.com/

Not a ton of sizes left, but I got a red Dishwasher Vampire Smile one and a I MADE A GAME WITH ZOMBIES IN IT one. $2 shipping was too reasonable for me to not pull the trigger.

ummm... none of us ever said who it was I don't think (the character at least, we beat the actor to death).
That's...a good point.

That actually sounds pretty interesting.
The movie's director is Scott Derrickson (Sinster, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and it's being touted as cosmic-horror with Lovecraftian elements. I'm definitely excited for it.

The ESRB just rated Psychonauts on PS4, so maybe we'll get it later this month. Then again, we're still waiting on Max Payne's PS4 version...
I always wanted to try Psychonauts, so a PS4 version is welcome. But I wonder if this is an upscaled PS2-to-PS4 game or a remake?

Double Fine already confirmed that it's the former:

Double Fine has confirmed Psychonauts on PlayStation 4 will be an emulated version of the PS2 original.
“It will be an emulated version of the original Psychonauts on PS2, but hopefully with some added bells and whistles which we’re still figuring out now,” Double Fine community manager James Spafford said in a PlayStation Blog comment.

Yep, PS2 classic.

Based on the textures I guess this is just an emulated version of the PS2 port? Wasn’t that the worst version?

Edit: Vig'd kinda. He went to some crappy-ass 3rd party regurgitating site for his quote, though.

Cool. Lionsgate just sent me two screener tickets to this, whatever it is:

Misleading is what it is--Ryan Reynolds is apparently barely in the movie for a couple of minutes, yet he has top billing for some reason instead of Kevin Costner.

Yeah, I saw that. Kevin Costner isn't as much a draw as RR is now, I guess? Then again it's Reynold's character and Costner is just playing the part, right? Like Face/Off! ...

Looks good, though. Nice cast.
