PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

You really can make a ton if you're good at it. Especially depending on your specialties and the market you're in. San Fran is a huge market in general, and if she's decent at it, with acceptable pricing, people would go. My only knocks on her are for going to art school first instead of just owning up to what she actually wanted to do. She'd have been a lot better off financially just going to cosmetology school right off the bat.
I agree, but sometimes you dont know what you want to do or you feel forced to do something someone else wants you to do. I know all I ever wanted to be was a bum but I went to school and even got my Masters anyway! What a waste of time.

Hey man, if your a good hardresser in a city like San Fran you can make boat loads. My ex wife went to a woman here that charged her $150 to do her hair every 6 weeks. And Im sure it would be double that in San Fran.

My cousin married a woman who started as a hairdresser and now has her own salon. She makes a killing. We arent talking about a barber shop here.
Still mad expensive to live there and seems like a huge waste of money to go to college for that particular career. As a salon owner it makes sense to have some degree in business.

I certainly hope so. I doubt there will be anything good in next week's GTA sale, and we might get the Golden Week sale the following week.

For someone in management and banking I am going to guess a Masters is probably mandatory.

Guy im friends with wife is a hairdresser, according to him she makes almost 6 figures doing that. Been doing it a few years, first few years didnt make nearly that much but once you build up your client base and learn how to book efficiently, can make good money.

Yea, hes a kept man too as he only makes like half that currently.

Annnnnd, you'd be wrong. Very wrong. Most of us cant even write legibly. Masters or not. However I do know someone who keeps getting hassled cause she doesnt have a under grad degree. Only cause her bosses want to promote her past VP though. She is a VP without an under grad and still smarter and better at her job than anyone I know. They need to promote her anyway. fuck the degree.

She is the only person I know and have ever met that doesnt goof off at work. Like at all. She is working pretty much all day err day. Its amazing. And she is productive too. She will work all hours too. If she thinks of something late at night she logs on and does it.

Yeah, once you get your client base and reputation up, you can definitely make a decent living off of it. Lady who does my hair gets new clients entirely off referrals from existing clients. And I know my family, as well as most of her other clients, have followed her through 3+ different locations around the city. She just opened her own salon earlier this year, and I think she's starting to rent space to a nail stylist too for some extra cash.

That reminds me; those who played Bully on PS4, was it worth picking up? The gameplay looked really blurry but did it age well enough otherwise?

Cool on Starfox, we'll see I guess.

Vig and others for rebates. I guess they are super horrible...if you're that hard up for $20.

Kilik64 - WTF?

I hate long series of roundabouts. I understand they're supposed to make traffic flow better, but jfc, add in construction and a missed exit due to misleading traffic cones, and you may as well die in there. Double roundabouts are the worst.
Are they really that bad? I thought roundabout was supposed to be pretty good...

http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/13/11387934/internet-moderator-history-youtube-facebook-reddit-censorship-free-speech?platform=hootsuite

Kind of a cool long read, it's about the people whose job it is to moderate content on sites like youtube, fb, and twitter. TL; DR they see a LOT of awful shit, and it kinda messes up their heads.
Disappointed that they called The Fappening "CelebGate".

Anyway, the history or reddit is long and interesting when it comes to moderation. The article talks about this, a lot of reddit's popularity came from it not being filtered in any way. Each subreddit was run by the person who creates it and mods they bring on, and as long as the content they were discussing/posting wasn't illegal, the admins would keep their nose out of it.

Then all of a sudden the website became super popular and advertisers wanted to give reddit lots of money. Except they didn't want their ads popping up on subreddits focused on racism or creepy pictures of girls unaware their picture is being taken. Reddit had to decide whether they wanted to follow their strict adherence to free speech (there's nothing illegal about taking someone's picture or being racist) or "PC up" and clean out the riffraff so that the site could look legitimate and start raking in the money.

They went for the money, banned a whole bunch of subreddits and users, and really pissed off a lot of other users. The backlash has mostly died down, but it was really interesting to watch that entire transition take place.

I would think it would be a requirement for applying at most medium to large banks. Here we have some organizational reorganization going on. My bosses boss is getting a promotion / new responsibility. My boss asked him what the requirements will be to apply. He didn't know and refereed her to HR. Will be interesting to see what they come up with. This was a VP position but I think will now be a Director posistion that will report the VP just got additional responsibilities.

We are a blip on the corporate landscape. I am sure my boss will not meet whatever they qualifications are.

Do you meet your friends in some sort of support group or something?

Its alright. Combat is kinda bland since its almost all melee. I've got a long way to go still.
That's about how I felt playing it the other night. I want to like it but I have to admit the guns and vehicles were pretty fun in the last couple games so it's tough to go without it this time around.

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

Nah, he used to work with me and lives in same burb area I live in. Just so happens we both married well.
If I ever do settle down again I have already promised myself that the woman will have a career that is comparable or most likely better than mine.

Holy Shit, lady in my office just got a call from her wedding venue and apparently the place booked the wrong day. Poor girl is freaking the fuck out and like crying. She's in a cube in the middle of everyone in this part of the building, so I know I'm not the only one listening in to her problems. She's on the phone trying to get everything sorted and crying in between them, but no one has gotten up to check on her lol. I'm definitely not going.

Oh noooooo, poor girl. Now she's crying and pleading with the venue, and everyone from the warehouse just took their break so now they get to witness everything too.

So glad we didn't do the big wedding thing. Small little ceremony at the Town Hall and a dinner afterwards for most of our immediate family. I didn't invite one of my brothers and my wifes SIL couldn't make it (best wedding present of all).

Better then the news the woman two cubes over from me got yesterday. Her aunt died. At least she didn't flip out while still at work.

Sometimes being a man sucks but this is one of those times Im glad to be a man.

I really wish our wedding venue had booked the wrong date.  Maybe then we wouldnt have gotten married!  Plus I would have been really entertained by the shit storm my ex would have brought down on the place.
