PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I think Demons Souls is going to end up in my top 10 ps3 games in the end. I can tell I like it when it's one of those few games that I try to squeeze in some playtime at any possible chance to get a bit further. Same feeling I had when I went back to play fallout 3 last year.

From the main forum, for Gamestop, and lasting through 4/30:

Remind me, what your stat focus is? I was going to give some recommendations for weapons to upgrade for the trophies. I usually did STR oriented builds since I like big shields and pure bladestone is so hard to acquire. For your crescent / blessed and moon weapon trophies it is is a good opportunity to craft weapons that are normally geared for the other physical damage stat focus since the DEX and STR scaling is greatly lowered or completely eliminated. I typically mooned the winged Spear and crescented the estoc. Though if you were DEX focused you might want to make one of those a Uchigatana or a Kilij.

If a weapon upgrade doesn't appeal to you then just upgrade the shittiest weapon it works with in your arsenal as it will take the fewest stones to fully upgrade.

It's ridiculous how difficult the time you need to beat for the trophy is on the first hoverboard race versus how stupid easy the time is for the second one.  As long as you take both shortcuts every lap on the second race, you could probably get the trophy with your feet.

Edit: This is about R&C2K16

there's apparently a gold bolt cheat that slows down the game that people are using to get the low time trophies for what it's worth.
I'll have to look into that. So far my lowest time is 1:42, so 7 seconds short.

I did just find this video which uses some shortcuts and also avoids the out-of-the-way boosts and jumps I was going for. I think I'll try this approach. The only bit I'll probably have trouble with is the big boost->ramp jump to the ring at the upper ledge near the beginning. If I get that down I'll probably be good to go.

Still haven't gone back for that hoverboard trophy on the first race. Spent last night being up floating tentacle monsters for brains, got that trophy after searching around for a while looking for a brain pod I'd missed.

Ratchet and Clank is a silly game.

That hover board race trophy on the PS3 R&C 1 was a bitch and a half. Pretty sure it was the last trophy I got for the plat.

Is it the same time needed/track layout? If so good luck and Godspeed.

Okay fine guys you convinced me, I gotta go pick up Ratchet and Clank on my way home tonight!  I confirmed my Best Buy has it now too.  HYPPEE!!!

And I dont remember the hover races being hard once you got used to them in the PS3 versions.  But maybe there was a trick for that on PS3 as well?  Either way Im down for trying to shame you assholes when I get that trophy!

Yep, sure is.

I was hoping once I got 1st place and some upgraded hoverboard that I'd be able to knock the trophy out easily via a speed upgrade or something. Nope--just the ability to do tricks for a boost reward, but using tricks makes the race more difficult to complete.

The controls on Vita are a bit sensitive. I've mostly gotten used to it but was still running short. I think once I switch up my route according to the video above I'll hit it pretty quick (after a bunch of crashes while I get used to the new turns and such.)

I wouldnt say he was the "main" character, more like a side character, both trevor and other dude prolly had more story than he did.

Never played GTA SA but wasnt main character there african american?
IDK Franklin seemed to be in more then Trevor. I would replay it and verify but PSN sale SUCKS.

Wasn't it a couple of hours into the game before Trevor shows up?

I mostly use the soul arrow and a spiked shield, sometimes play around with other magics, than switch to some rapier I have for up close fights. Definitely a change from my usual sword and shield builds I do in other rpgs. That soul arrow is just so OP at least in the beginning handful of levels. I'm fine with just duping the stones, so I'm not worried about how much I need to upgrade stuff.

So I guess its next to impossible to get a refund for a ticket once you buy one from Ticketmaster?  I bought Yankees tickets to the game Friday night but they moved my trip back to May 6th last week.  Is it even worth me calling to try and get a refund on a $30 ticket?  Do they budge?

When you purchase tickets from Ticketbastard they offer insurance for $6-7 a ticket in case this happens or if someone scalping can't get rid of them. Just another way to get more money. Good luck!

You should just buy my copy since I already platted it. I will include free shipping and any amount of ball sweat that you want from "a lot" to "way too much."

I would but its going to take too long to get to me. I need to finish it prior to Tuesday when Alienation comes out and I dont plan on playing non stop for 4 days like you. I have a lyfe ya know!

Thanks for the offer though!

I wrecked twice and still beat it by a bit. Just do flips and near the end jump over the water after the big ramp with the huge stack of boxes.

If you like the rapier then you should definitely check out the estoc, it is highest damage, final form of that moveset.

I remember jumping over the water and cutting corners a lot in the ps3 version, but it seemed like the ps4 version was a lot quicker to think I had gone off the track and waste my time respawning me.
