PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Stumbled upon this guy on twitter, he's quite the whiny bitch.

I ran into him giving the Rocketbirds 2 developers a hard time for pricing their game too high. I know this is CAG and I myself am guilty of bitching about indie games being too expensive, but I don't tell it to them right to their face and outright tell them that what they've created isn't worth what they think it is.

After watching some Ar nosurge Plus gameplay, I'll be skipping that, and I can wait for Cyber Sleuth and Yakuza 5 to have lower prices later.

I never thought I'd say a bird-dating visual novel is literally the only thing that interests me in a Golden Week sale.

Transformers is incredibly repetitive, though, and feels very samey all the way through. Even the one playthrough I did I got bored of, and if you're going for the plat that's 5 playthroughs minimum. Korra was 2, IIRC.
The environments were repetitive, but the loot system and upgrades were really cool and interesting. In my review I mentioned how I didn't like that you basically had to pick with one Transformer and stick with them the whole time, because they all leveled up separately. So it definitely had its issues. The combat system I also thought was way more refinded than Korra, with the dodging and specials and vehicle combat.

Judging a game based on how long it takes to get trophies is stupid.

GwG for May: http://gematsu.com/2016/04/defense-grid-2-costume-quest-2-free-xbox-live-gold-subscribers-may

Looks like severed and the bird dating sim for me. Really hype for Severed. Gonna try to play some Alienation tonight too.

I realized a couple weeks ago that GwG always goes all out for April. I think that is when it started. I remember last year they gave away double the normal amount of games for April, and then last month they went crazy with retail titles including Sunset Overdrive.

Not surprising to see a smaller month this month from them. Still, DG2 and CQ2 are both fun games. I have them both so glad we're not getting them.

I can't really tell what Magic Circle is. Is it like an adventure game?
That's the impression I get from reviews. The set-up is that you're playing in an unfinished game that was in development hell. You're able to alter aspects of the game to progress (e.g., turn things friendly or mean, alter environmental properties). Seems like there can be multiple solutions for at least some puzzles, so maybe not as obtuse as these adventure games seem to be? And it seems like you find audio/text from the supposed developers who had to go through the frustrating process of making it. I think it's only supposed to be a few hours, though.

No slap on Dead Rising 3 for me. I will check out both DG2 and CQ2. Wife was bitching that I got rid of the PS3 and can't play Peggle. Not like she did more then once anyway. Now she can not play it on XBox One.

I only played 2-3 hours of Ar Nosurge and then deleted it. Too much talking, not enough combat. Weird dating-sim stuff thrown in there.

So I think I'll get Neptunia 3. (maybe Neptunia U?)

Tempted on Digimon and Lost Odyssey. 50% off seems like a pretty good deal. Sure, they -might- go lower later......why wait?

Senran Kagura Bon Appetitt? (A Rhythm game? might be fun)

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace . (just a monster hunter? Does it have a story or is it just sort of MMO wandering, click and watch combat?)

There's also a few things for sale in the Playstation Plus discounts that don't seem to be showing up in the Golden Week sales

(Aegis of Earth, Firewatch, etc)

How is Aegis of Earth btw?

The reason Tyler remembered to post those images is because I asked him how much they were.  Turns out they were almost as cheap as this idiot is charging for shipping.

Look at the details, you have to take apart your controller to use it.  Not to mention it has to be a copyright issue with the Batman one.  I can not imagine a single person on a website of cheap asses would ever buy one of those.

Lol, this is dumb. The flamingtoast decals are cool though, and the guy is really good about CS. When I ordered mine he accidentally shipped someones clan tag instead of the spiderman one I ordered, had the right one in the mail the next day.

Aegis of earth is filled with dialogue, a little bit of it on the dating side. The defense itself is pretty cool. Having to spin the city to defend sides. The actual defense itself is pretty boring so far. Not a really good view of the battlefield. The waves come out at different points, and in turn makes them smaller. It never really feels like you're taking on a huge wave like most td games. I didn't make it to one of the giant boss fights yet though.

While playing Alienation it felt like a mix of Dead Nation, Helldivers and loot like Diablo. Don't forget about some of the best explosions on the PS4. Housemarque really knows what they're doing with making great games.
Couldnt agree more. The gunplay is faster than Dead Nation but spot on and the splosions are still the best in the business. The level design also reminds me of Dead Nation, just much prettier and more detailed. Its pretty fuck ing amazing.

Damn I should have waited to read that. Oh well bought Yu-gi-oh and that.

I love how easy it is to get into a multi game and how smooth it has been. Cro usually has shit internet and seems like he had no problems last night.

Those decals would be cool if I could actually see them while I play. But since I cant no sale for me. I really like the GTA font.
Yeah but you still see them when you pick up the controller and set it down and stuff. It'd be a harder sale for me if they weren't cheap, but $4.40 for two of them is nothing.

That might be the best part. Even with all those explosions and gunfire the game is smooth as silk in 4 player co op.

Alienation GOTY...for online co op at least!

I also got the Ratchet plat this morning.  I didnt grind much during my reg and challenge plays.  I did notice that the boss in the lava leveled up most weapons a lot so I used him to upgrade the last couple except the Goatinator which was last.  That shit took forever.

About 2.3 play throughs to level up each weapon and get the plat.

Big part of the sale for me was that they help dim the light bar. And that they're cheap as hell.
You guys just like throwing around the dollar bills dont you!? LOL I was tempted to get two but even though its cheap.

But I dont need the guys to make even more fun of me for having those. They may play a bit of PS4 when we are playing poker and I will never hear the end of it when they see those! Nerd shame is real!

In case you didnt know there is a dim option in settings and it does the job for me. Still remember the first time I turned on the PS4 and was blinded by the light bouncing off the TV from the controller! I was like what the fuck?

Yeah, I think I've got it dimmed, and have the stickers on.

If you don't want nerd shame, don't buy stupid shit. Get spiderman. Spiderman is cool.

Been that way for a while now. Outside of alienation, I've bought 3 games in almost as many months.
I bought a lot of stuff during the flash sale, and surprisingly even showed restraint on a few things. But yeah, before that the only thing I've bought on PSN in the last month or so was Square Heroes.

The annual spring franchise sales always put a dimmer on PSN sales, this month we had 8 fuckin weeks of them!

And one of those was resident evil 6...
I was only referring to Psn stuff. I've bought a couple more things on disc. Resident Evil 6 isn't that bad. I'd buy a lot more hd/remaster/whatevers if they put them out at $20. Though, I only ended up with it cause I forgot to cancel my Amazon pre-order.(was hoping for that 40% before they stopped it)

I got bully and 2 souls or whatever its called for the ps4 in the flash, I think the only thing I bought during the 8 weeks of shit was lego marvel vita?

The prices seemed a lot worse than last year though to me.

Last year in March we had a .99 cent sale. Other than that, looks like spending has been light from Jan-Apr both years for me. Going to guess it was lack of any decent deals rather than any restraint on my part.
