PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Last year in March we had a .99 cent sale. Other than that, looks like spending has been light from Jan-Apr both years for me. Going to guess it was lack of any decent deals rather than any restraint on my part.
Man just looked at that list from the last flash sale, had some really solid stuff in it for a buck or less.

We need another one of them.

The environments were repetitive, but the loot system and upgrades were really cool and interesting. In my review I mentioned how I didn't like that you basically had to pick with one Transformer and stick with them the whole time, because they all leveled up separately. So it definitely had its issues. The combat system I also thought was way more refinded than Korra, with the dodging and specials and vehicle combat.

Judging a game based on how long it takes to get trophies is stupid.
The combat system was extremely gimmicky, though. In order to get the top score at your encounters you had a few things you just had to do over and over again--the guide I read suggested getting the lowest powered gun just to let you stretch out how many times you can attack in order to get a higher score. I tried that a few times and it worked, but it wasn't fun at all.

I wasn't judging a game on how long it took to get the trophies, just stating that I can't imagine playing it to completion. If a game is starting to get a bit dull but doesn't take a ton of effort or time to get the plat I'll generally go for it. With Transformers it would have been a long, drawn-out chore that wasn't at all worth the bother IMO. I had to force myself to finish it even the once.

Okay so Alienation isnt perfect.  I forgot to bitch about the fact that they decided to not include a pause.  Still an asinine thing to do when you have the option to play solo.  I should be able to pause and not worry about dying.  And they expect you to reach level 30 without dying in hardcore.  So why the fuck cant I pause if Im playing and someone or something interrupts me?

Then I guess you aren't very hardcore

Does PS button work? Or quick put the system in Sleep Mode? Still a dumb thing to not include.

Today I spent 30+ minutes silently laughing at the IT guys who were trying to set up a new printer in my office. Dummies kept trying to get drivers to install on their PC so they could transfer them over to our all mac office. Knew the entire time that the macs wouldn't need whatever driver they were struggling with. That's what they get for taking a month to get me a damn printer.

Actually they can deploy Mac printer drivers from a Windows Server. Just like they do to Windows clients. I have never done it but it is possible and if they are rolling out drivers to dozens of Macs it usually would save them time. Also makes it easier to manage who has access to what printers and for any sort of reporting they might want to do.

Looks pretty straight forward to setup but I haven't messed with a Mac in about 10 years.

if it was a couple of OSX computers I wouldn't go through the effort. Just manually install the drivers as they ended up doing.

Printing is one of the things I manage here I hate. Driver issues even on straight Windows computers used to be a real PIA. Seems to be a lot better now though.

Nah, it's not that they couldn't do it that way. I'm sure they could have. They just 100% didn't need to. The printer is airprint, said so right on the box, instant mac compatible. Legit all you have to do is hit the "add printer" button on the mac. No messing with drivers at all. Nothin fancy necessary.

Darkest Dungeon update:

PLAYSTATION UPDATE

We have previously announced Late Spring/Early Summer as a target for PS4 and Vita release. With the adjustment of schedules and matching up with potential future events we are now targeting late July or August. We want to make sure that all of the Town Event contents we are working on now are solid for inclusion into the console release, as well as making sure it runs like butter and plays well with a controller. Adjusting controls, in particular, is not a quick process. We have a level of quality that we want to ensure in all of our releases and we would rather take some extra time to make it right, rather than rush it out the door. The awesome and talented Sickhead Games has been helping us with the porting.

We remain incredibly excited to bring the game to PS4 and Vita, and we have seen such enthusiasm from the community, as well. Sony has been a fantastic partner to work with, and we can’t wait to make a big Summer splash with the game!
That's this if you don't remember:

Steam version is at 86% approval out of 13,597 reviews. I've been looking forward to it on console for a while.

I've never bought from humble bundle. I want that game Rhythm Thief as physical copies are pricey last I checked. If I bought the top tier for $13.xx with SF 3D will I get the rest of the games they offer for free?
Yeah, that's how it works. Plus next week more games in the BTA tier will unlock.

They might want to track what is printed. The system we use to do that doesn't have a way to see airprint or USB attached printers. Might be why they were trying to do it the hard way.

Nah they were just idiot pc users who dont know the first thing about how cool and awesome macs are with airprint and shit.

FYI, that Gamestop 50% bonus promo might not start until tomorrow--a CAG who works there confirmed that the promo isn't live yet.

I also got the Ratchet plat this morning. I didnt grind much during my reg and challenge plays. I did notice that the boss in the lava leveled up most weapons a lot so I used him to upgrade the last couple except the Goatinator which was last. That shit took forever.

About 2.3 play throughs to level up each weapon and get the plat.
You just posted my exact same experience except I finished this afternoon. Good game, easy plat, 4/5 diamonds.

Nope, no need. My tech isn't fully connected to any of their systems. We don't work for them, no need to track our junk. The IT dudes know that. We just rent space, and junk like printers/wifi access from them.

If your job is tech, and your company gives out iPhones/iPads to half the workforce, I hope like hell you can read the printer box so they can print shit from their company phones.

I think im a little grouchy today, not sure why.
Might be. Go eat a Snickers.

Next printer I buy will be Google Cloud Print enabled. Will be nice being able to print from our Chromebook or my smart phone.
Yeah, we have a nice 3-in printer, but it's not Cloud Print enabled, so I have to go the wife's MacBook anytime I want to print anything.

We cut the landline at our house years ago, so the fax part of the printer is worthless too.

Go Dolphins?

Tyler that was nice of you to give away those codes away in the Nintendo thread. Looks like a good member got the codes so they weren't lurked.

Any interest in partying up for Alienation or Rocket League Hoops tonight? Hoops is only 2 on 2 so it'd be a 4 player max either way.
If you see me on send me a message or join the group if there's a open spot. Obviously this is meant for Alienation.
