Fun fact! One of my friends from college spontaneously eloped maybe a month ago and got married in some vegas-like chapel thing wearing power ranger shirts.

No, I really did (still do? I own a bunch of the seasons but haven't rewatched them yet) like them, though I agree that the Turbo movie is fuck ing awful.

My kid went through a Power Rangers phase where he'd just cycle through all the ones on Netflix.  That damn theme song would get stuck in my head and make we wanna play Mega Man because it sounds like something that should be in that game.  Thankfully he grew out of it.  But yeah it was always awful.

 
okay... last one, I have to go to bed.... seriously guys, power rangers has got to be the worst piece of shit show that I can remember as a kid.  But I was watching stuff like Robocop and Predator so I guess it's not much of a surprise that this was pretty lame to me... might have been more accepting of it if it was animated, but that still seems like a hard sell.

Best part about power rangers is the suit scenes were like watching bad kung fu movies as all those scenes were filmed for the japanese version and they just voiced over the americans and their movements rarely matched the voices.

Damn. Just looked it up and that shit came out in 97. Definitely the last thing I saw because I never heard of Power Rangers in Space and that was next.

 
Dear god captain planet was fucking awful. We watched a bunch of episodes while working on our costumes and at no point did they ever not suck. Nostalgia is a powerful drug. Don Cheadle Capt Planet is fucking hilarious though.

They definitely do not sound cool because of the Power Ranger thing. However, they sound smart for eloping. If you do not understand that now, you will soon.

 
Power Rangers started when I was in HS maybe? So yeah they have always been stupid terrible kid shit to me.  Those gifs just confirm that 80s and early 90s kid shows and cartoons were MUCH BETTER.
