It set the tone/standard for all competitive modern based shooters. Some people have a lot of nostalgia for the game though I don't think it has aged that well.

I'm pretty excited for it as I spent a lot of my childhood playing GBs on Modern Warfare.

FPS games suck as do FP games in general. Portal is fuck ing awesome though. 

For some reason I'm considering giving DOOM a try though. 13 hours is long though. If it was 6 I might be more inclined.

I dont know why I am considering getting the Uncharted 4 special edition.  Well I know why...cause steel book and I have the Uncharted 3 steelbook.  But I dont collect things and the 3 steelbooks I have just sit in a cabinet...so its pointless...but its less than $20 more...why not?

Also realllly tempted to get Deadpool for $23.99 after GCU...even though I wont play it for another month or more.  I just want to buy games for some reason.

Um, since when did Best Buy update their store pickup thingy to note when there is less than 3 of a game left in stock instead of just saying it is unavailable?  thats cool

 
Thanks I needed that. It also reminded me that I need to do a month trial with Gamefly to see if that may be worth it again one day. But I keep buying games with GCU and we keep getting plus games that I cant even keep up with.

Wasn't someone in here talking about The Expanse at some point? Maybe guardian owl? I put the first season on munkyflix and Tyler refuses to believe it's good because he's never heard of it. Everyone should watch it though.

I was just wondering about this the other day. I hope so, especially now that I can actually use some of the free shit they gave away.

Year before that it was May 28th. Last year the site got completely hammered so there's definitely enough interest to support them keeping it up. Hopefully they will.

I wish you had said that first line before I started watching Hunters. It is pretty awful, but I keep watching for some damn reason.

I think the only other show I watch from that channel is Face-Off. I do enjoy it.

Yep, and it was renewed so the next season (which is 2 episodes longer) will finish the first book and cover the 2nd. I like that a lot of the tech is seemingly grounded in reality instead of space magic. In fairness to Tyler, Syfy was a real crapshoot for awhile. For the longest time the only show i had left on the channel that I watched was Eureka (which ended in 2012) and then nothing till last year when they cut down on the large volume of unscripted shows to put out some decent 1 hour scripted content.

Now I watch 12 Monkeys, Killjoys, Magicians, Expanse, Dark Matter, and Z Nation (which is like a low-brow Scream-ification of the Walking Dead)

Yet he expects us to believe the 400 indie games only he's ever heard of are actually good.

 
While we are talking about SyFy shows, a few people told me 12 Monkeys was good.  Are they mistaken?  I had thought about going back to watch it on onDemand if possible.

I agree with syfy, but I binged it on demand and still bought the blu rays mostly so I could get it on munkyflix for others. It's also only 10 44-ish minute episodes.

Eureka was very variable in quality as well. I think I didn't even finish the last season, actually. It got pretty rough later on.

How much of the first book does Magicians cover? I checked the synopsis on wiki and it doesn't match what I read of the end of the book.

Some of my friends really like it, but I haven't seen it myself. Doesn't look like I've got the first season available on demand (fios).

Still need to get to s2. s1 was alright; strongest component by far was Kingpin. Did you watch Jessica Jones? That was better than s1 DD, I thought.

 
Lol, the local news is on my tv right now before I start actually watching or playing something.  The just had a story about the auction for zimm's dad's gun or whatever and how people are driving up the price.  The news anchor said in a very serious voice that the top bidder uses the screen name "Racist McShootface."

 
Oh shit, there was just another news story about how they are going to make reeses peanut butter cups with reeses pieces in them!  Have you guys ever heard of this?  I need to watch my local news more often!

I am still watching it but I don't know why. Jones has bored me since the beginning although it's getting a bit better with more killgrave
