PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Steamworld had the same thing. It just didn't have the "run out of gas" or whatever thing that forced you back to the surface like Motherload did. You could go back at anytime in Steamworld, and go find stuff you dropped when you died after.
Hmmm I must not remember Steamworld very well then. I do remember liking it a lot tho. Not quite as sold on Heist cuz of the genre, not my fav.

So apparently along with the price drop they're giving the Grand Kingdom paid DLC from the Japanese version to NA for free. The DLC is character classes and a ton of extra campaign content (from 12 chapters of story in the base game to 48.)

The reaction to that beta must have been pretty damn weak. I still need to give that a try.

I just noticed when you do some kills with the BFG the pop up notification says Big [Redacted] Gun. Thats pretty funny.
I'd forgotten it has its own key. I got the BFG, switched weapons, and was pissed because the BFG wasn't in my weapon wheel. Thought I'd somehow lost it. Didn't figure it out until I checked the control layout in the last chapter I played.

I actually forgot about the gun entirely until a couple levels later since it wasnt in the wheel. I wish I had remembered since its pretty much the only way I can see getting a couple of the challenges for killing two of a certain demon at the same time with one shot. I just did it on the hell demons in the last level but there was another level earlier where you have to kill two of the floaty head guys from the original doom and I couldnt do it...forgetting about the BFG and how it spreads.

Ratchet & Clank 1 really likes to straddle the wrong side of the fun/annoying platforming barrier. These magnetic tracks and the stupid ice+wind areas on Oltanis for example. That stuff plays much better in the remake, I hope?

I'm also team didn't get too into or finish SteamWorld Dig.  I bought for both 3DS and Vita too.  It's decent enough and I like the idea and the world, but like others, I got bored aimlessly digging down hoping I find something and left myself a path back up.  I may try it again though.

I got to the ice section at the end where the gold bolt is, blew up the enemy airplane, and thought the ice field looked suspicious; just in case any damn robots popped out of the ground I used my Glove of Doom so I'd have a few of those little guys ready to attack the enemies. Instead the bastards ran over to me, jumped on me, and pushed me over the edge so I'd respawn back at the beginning. :wall:

fuck

I don't think this is technically a spoiler, but just in case (Doom-related but not a final boss or anything like that):

I seem to remember a (fake/real?) "clean" explanation being "Bio-Force Gun" or something like that.

I also cringe every time I hear something about that BFG Disney movie. Yeah yeah, it's a book.

I knew it was triangle but kept saving it for the boss fights. A couple times I said screw it and used it before a boss fight. Didn't catch the redacted part.

Traded my copy at lunch time to Game Stop. Guy said they had a used copy of UC4 come in today but went right out. Tried to sell me a new one but screw that the 20% off used coupon can't be used on new. Just checked and the one near my house had it available so I put it on hold.

We can only hope this is true:

Does anybody actually watch this?

Edit: That's way taller than I thought it was.

The other dumb thing with the eject button is that putting a disc in via that before logging in doesn't seem to work right. I put in Ratchet that way the first time and it never showed up on screen and didn't start installing. I had to eject it (with the button) and then put it back in, then it showed up. There are definitely some dumb things about the PS4.

EDIT: I mean I ejected the disc already in there, which also powers on the PS4, then put the new disc in, then logged in.

How do you use the eject button to put a disc in? I slide the disc into the slot after I turn on the system using the power button, and I see the game just fine after logging in.

I meant I pressed eject to eject the disc that was in there, which turns on the system. Then I put the new disc in. It did not show up when I logged in. It will be there in your row of icons if you played it recently, but it doesn't move to the front and it won't show at all if the game is not installed. At least that is my experience.

Ah. I don't leave discs in the PS4 when I turn it off, so I never experienced that.

...what? Why not?
I can't remember what console it was (maybe a phat PS2/3?), but once or twice it had trouble turning on and I realized that leaving a disc in there might not be a good idea. It also takes a whopping 1-2 seconds each time for me to find the game I want and put the disc in, then remove it and put the box away when I'm done.

I've experienced the same issue. I figured it was a disc issue, but looks like it's not after all. Good to know.

But I'd like have to get up from the couch each time at the end of the night to take it out, when I know I'm gonna play it the next day. When said couch is your sleep place, lazy me is gonna leave it every damn time.
