PSP $169 as of Tuesday 4-3-07
My launch PSP was totally worth it.
Why do people rag on the PSP so much, it's such a neat and capable system.
Because:

1. Sony made it.
2. There are no other reasons.

Ok, maybe that's not entirely fair. There are too many ports and not enough original games in the library, but it's still a great system and I for one would choose the PSP in a *heartbeat* over the DS. (Luckily I don't have to choose, so I have two of each.)

I grabbed one today at Target along with the free copy of Socom that they're offering this week. I didn't want to spend more than $150 for the system, so it worked out perfectly for me.
Have you played any of Outrun 2, Sid Meiers Pirates, Sega Genesis Collection, Powerstone Collection, SOCOM, either GTA or Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins?

They're all pretty good.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are tons of quality titles. The genres are really diverse too- sometimes I just scratch my head when people say there are no good PSP games or that they're all ports. Where did all of this negative publicity come from?

Anybody know how much they are used now? I'm actually considering picking one up, especially now that Daxter and Syphon Filter have hit the sweet spot of $20.

This is very close to what I'm willing to spend for a PSP. With the hacked firmware its a damn good system for emulation and what not. But for officially released games besides a few compilations so far I'm not impressed with the system.

But yeah as someone said $150 with a 1 gig memory stick will sell me a LOT more on wanting to own one for sure. Anyone know how much Gamestop is selling used PSPs for now speaking of which?
