I've recently come into the possesion of a PSP game I'd like to play, and there are some other games that look interesting to me, so I'm interested in buying one. Thing is, in typical CAG mentality, there is no way I'm going to buy it through anything except the best deal out there. I would naturally want one of the new shiney slim PSPs, so there isn't much selection in the way of used stuff as far as I can find.

I can't imagine I am the only CAG doing this search, so we might as well collaborate. The base MSRP for the PSP is either 169.99 for the core, or 199.99 for the Daxter or Battlefront bundles. The best deals I've found so far are these:
  • Meijer TG: BF, Get $30 off when you buy a PSP (any) and Mercury Meltdown ($19.99) and PSP starter kit ($9.99). Here
  • Target: BF, Get 5 UMD movies free with a PSP system. (Casino Royale, Air Force One, Jumanji, Open Season, and Talladega Nights). Here
  • FYE: BF, "Make your own bundle" $199.99 after $50 rebate, choose any two of Jackass, FF Tactics, NFS: Carbon, Naruto, or Battlefront. Here
  • K-mart: Dead 20% off any item in store. I tried this and it didn't work, but YMMV. Here
  • Circuit City: $40 off $199 purchase, but fine print says no VG consoles. People have reported it working for PSPs, so YMMV. Here

No way can this be all the deals, but it'd be great if we could make this list exhaustive before thanksgiving. Help, please?

It'd be best to figure out the BF plan ahead of time then scramble at the last minute. Or worse, pass up a better deal... Help, please? I know I'm not the only one out there who's planning on getting a PSP.

I don't know, I but do support this thread. I've been looking to upgrade my PSP to the latest revision. Maybe one of these deals will be the sweet spot.

I'll let you know if I come across anything else.
 
Well, there's also still the $15 off a PSP system at Best Buy coupon that came with the God of War demo that some people got in the mail.
BTW, does anyone know if the 5 UMD movies at Target is going to be with the bundles or just the core system?
 
The target deal is with either a core or a bundle, your choice.

if you are still in Bay Area, tax is about $15 for the Daxter bundle even with the $15 coupon. Might as well shop at a tax free site like amazon.
 
Most places aren't really trying too hard to move these new systems. Game Crazy is doing buy 1 get 1 free used games if you purchase a system. I know it stinks too.
 
Got my PSP! Ended up going to Target, and got the last one they had on their shelf at 12:30, no rushing. Despite it being really crowded, the guy was really nice, and even recommended I hit up Circuit City, since he heard they've got really cheap ($35ish) 4gb Memory Sticks. I passed it up, since the 1gb in the Daxter pack ought to hold me for a while, but anyone else might want to check it out.
