And these are just the titles I am interested in personally; there are many more that you might like that I didn't list. Man, I am going to be so broke......

Damn, I dont know how I'm going to pay for all of them...

I have to mention how awesome Killzone is turning out to be, I was really impressed with the latest trailer of it.

The PSP is already having a good year and the remaining part looks even stronger.

Shame no one really cares (on this part of the intraweb, at least).

More like all parts of the web. That being said, I will be picking up a White PSP for PSone emulation alone.

Oh Good Lord people, learn to take a joke.

Tell ya what: if it'll make you feel better, you can call me a cracker. Go ahead, I don't mind. I'm secure in my race.

Fine, ya whiner. I'll change it. Happy?

Not flaming, not being an asshole, what are the great games that make this a good year for PSP?

I haven't bought a PSP game since Tokobot last December. The only other PSP game that I had interest in so far this year was Exit. The only remaining titles I'd consider are Loco Roco and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

tekken, valkyrie profile

and Syphon Filter gets a lot of praise though I haven't tried it yet.

Getting Power Stone and Metal Gear for sure (though isn't MGS coming out next year?)

I'll be getting Metal Slug Anthology on the PSP if the Wii version is fucked up.

Still... 2 or 3 games for the busiest time of the year? Kinda meh...

Ah well, the PS2 already won this fall/winter.

I can personally recommend Locoroco and bounty hounds. Esp Bounty hounds, the control and gameplay is 100x more fun than monster hunter, though unfortunetly it doesn't have coop.

every extend extra was a huge dissapointment after lumines.

I'm looking foward to:

Metal Gear Portable Ops
and
Earthworm Jim (not sure when this is coming out)

I think the capcom collections and games have been strong but I really wish they would move foward and do some new stuff. A new PSP Resident Evil in the style of 4 would be sweet. That reminds me that Silent Hill game is looking very RE4 right now hopefully the gameplay will hold up to the graphics.

I'd kill for another Syphon Filter as well...Dark Mirror was killer.
Loco Roco and Metal slug. The rest are whatever
Because this is your united states of whatever?

Daxter, Syphon Filter, Tekken DR, Street Fighter AM3, Pursuit Force, both Megaman titles...And there are still more than a few that you could add to that list. Considering the time period (Jan-August) is supposed to be a rather dry time for games, I'd say it has achieved more than it should have for a portable system. Couple that with the fact that the DS released fewer top-notch titles during that same period (NSMB, MP: Hunters, Brain games) and the PSP is supposed to be the inferior system for quality releases. I'd definitely say that the PSP is having a good year for games.

I'm looking forward to :

Loco Roco (I'm playing European version now and it's freaking awesome - I'll be buying it on day 1)
Lego Star Wars II
Killzone Liberation
GTA: Vice City Stories
Metal Slug Anthology
Lumines II
Metal Gear Portable Ops

Everyone should buy Loco Roco - it's way better than Katamari, Parappa or other quirky games.

For me:

September
Guilty Gear: Judgement
Loco Roco
Bounty Hounds
WTF Work Time Fun

October
Power Stone Collection
Killzone Liberation
Ace Combat X
Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded

November
Metal Slug Anthology
Sega Genesis Collection (I don't want to hear your bitching, emulation crowd!)
Every Extended Extra
Lumines II
Sonic Rivals

December
Metal Gear Portable Ops
None of you guess mentioned Spectral Souls?

Its like a midevil Disgaea!!!!!
I saw that title on the list, and didn't know what it was, so I didn't include it.....sounds pretty cool though! I may have to check that one out.....
None of you guess mentioned Spectral Souls?

Its like a midevil Disgaea!!!!!
I forgot about it. I heard bad things about the Japanese version, since Idea Factory still hasn't learned the PSP too well. I still want it.

I am buying between 1 and 2 of these games (definitely MGPO, and maybe Lumines II - though it's unlikely.) Luckily I haven't yet bought Syphon Filter, Maverick Hunter X, or MGA2, so I won't be completely bored with my PSP for the rest of the year.
Everyone buy Powerstone Collection. Best brawler game ever created.
edited for correction ;)

I'm glad portables are getting the better stuff. I find myself playing my PSP and DS alot more than I've touched any other systems, even after getting a 360 recently.

main games I plan on getting are:

September
Loco Roco
Lego Star Wars II
WTF Work Time Fun

October
Power Stone Collection
Mortal Kombat: Unchained
Killzone Liberation
GTA: Vice City Stories

November
Metal Slug Anthology
Every Extended Extra

December
Metal Gear Portable Ops

Just the stuff I'm interested in... everything else I can wait for a price drop. The only way I'd get Marvel Ultimate Alliance over the 360 version is if they add in exclusive characters, similar to X-Men Legends 2.

Also, if you're interested in Guilty Gear, import Guilty Gear Judgement from Japan since their version features the far superior Guilty Gear XX Slash, while in the US we just get yet another port of Guilty Gear XX Reload.
How could you forget about Dungeons and Dragons Tactics OP? I don't even own a PSP and I want that game.
My apologies! That title wasn't on the list that I consulted.....is it's ETA in 2006 or 2007? I am pretty interested in that one.......

D&D:T looks like it could be one of the best D&D games so far, and it could be a major system seller for me if it's good (and the PSP has a major price drop;)).
