PSP gets two new Greatest Hits: Daxter and Syphon Filter

Nice. Syphon Filter is fantastic. One of the best games I played last year (and I don't even like the series...until this one).

And I've been wanting to get Daxter once it dropped in price!

$15 after GGC yay!!!

Awesome price for both games, I will probably get both sooner or later.

But this isn't a surprise, everyone knew this was coming.

Sweet, deffo be picking both of these up, I'm using my PSP way more than my DS at the moment. It's turning out to be a pretty decent console.
Hmm... what does this mean for Daxter's price drop at BB? Wasn't it a $1.99 game?
It means Best Buy will restock it at the $19.99 price, if it comes back.

These will probably be in a weekly ad in a week or two.

Hopefully it will be just like Dawn of Sorrow and Outlaw Tennis where they will accidently leave the clearance price in the system when they re-stock and it will be $1.99 for a day or two

Nope. Daxter was clearanced for $9.99 back in February.

But hopefully it gets restocked at $10 like Castlevania DOS...:twisted::twisted:

EDIT: YoshiFan beat me to it...

Best Buy no longer has the original though sadly, since it was clearenced out for $10....probably somewhat easy to get but I totally missed out on the deal. I might try to get it for $15 at CC w/ a Best Buy coupon though....

edit: I believe BB actually had restocked Dawn of Sorrow for $9.99 for like 2 weeks....

I can confirm that Syphon Filter DM is $19.99 in-store now, I picked one up about an hour ago. I didn't check the used price to see if it had dropped yet (they tend to drop a day or two later).

So I don't recall seeing Daxter at BB recently but I saw it at CC. I'd love to pick it up at this $20 price. Would I be able to get it on the way home this evening for the new $20 price or will it still be full price?

Best Buy had these freakin' games just a week or two ago so I went to use all the coupons I have and they didn't have either one. And they are not listed on the website either.

Anyone see any $10 off GCO online stores reduce the price? Would love to pick this up for $15 or so at Buy.com but they are still charging $43 something for it (w/shipping). :(

I visited BB early today. the sad part is DAXTER is discountinued from the system but the price is still $9.99. I do hope BB have it instock later this week or next week and have it for $10 is sTEAL DEAL EVER.
Bought Daxter today for ~$12 after GCO ($18.99 + $2.95ship - $10GCO) from J&R.
Thanksfor the info! I just did the same with Syphon Filter. :D

NP, I spent a bout a half a day debating which one. I read one review that Syphon Filter was a bit short so I went with Daxter. I'm sure there will be other deals to be had for SF in the future with the GH price drop.

Good deal. I wasn't really enthralled by Daxter, but I also really didn't like the Jak series as a whole so I kind of set myself up for disappointment. It's still a very well-done platformer, though.

And yeah, echo the love for Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. I got a pristine, complete used copy for $20 a while ago, and I love it. Amazingly robust online, although I still haven't tried it yet.

Yeah, Syphon Filter is fantastic. (Single player anyway, never played multiplayer.)

Regarding Daxter-I like the first Jak & Daxter, but hate 2 and 3. Anyone want to take a stab on whether I'll like Daxter?

I've seen a few reports that it's actually nothing like the Jak series.

I've been playing it for almost a week now and I have to say I'm enjoying daxter. It's much more linear than the Jak series, which is a good thing. The visuals are astounding, the voice acting is wonderful as always, as well as the animation.

The game is like some crazy Mario game mixed with a beat'emup collectathon.

Worth $20.

Picked a PSP today just for these two games! Once I heard they dropped to 19.99 I had to get a PSP. I'm a huge Jak and daxter fan and I've spent about an hour on Daxter today... fuck yeah man. It gives me the same badass feeling I would get when I played all the Jak and Daxter games.

Congrats man! I know the PSP gets a lot of hate, but it truly is a badass little system. I enjoy the hell out of mine. :D

It just doesn't play nice with about 85% of the games that are out for it :/
I can't wait to get them both. Now i look forward Target drop down $20 cos they had ton's copies Non GH cover ;)
Got it last week at K-Mart for 20. Non GH

I owned a PSP on launch day and told myself I would wiat for the "good games" which took way too damn long for me. I sold it and hadn't had one for over a year now. The PSP is no DS but I'm enjoying it right now for sure. Lets just see how long that lasts. I'm kind of sick of my DS right now.

Yeah, that's why you've got to remind yourself that every system goes through that at first. They all look pretty sad the first 6-12 months at least. I know the DS was a joke too (probably a bigger one, as the PSP at least had a good launch).
