yup, just got back from my local Gamestop where those two games (effing Gurumin- WTF?!?), which I haven't been able to find online sub-30-ish bucks (w/o using GCH) @ GH-pricing. Is there a universal price-drop coming? Suffice it to say, I bit- on both.

A universal price drop doesn't sound right at all. I just bought Gurumin for $35 +10% off (used) a couple of weeks ago. Also, the game just came out, and according to news, the game is selling out at a lot of places and it is getting harder to find in many areas. Mastiff themselves said they had message after message from people asking where they could buy the game from. I doubt there would be a price drop when it is selling so well ;) Maybe it was mismarked?...I've bought a game at Gamestop that was mismarked...a few months back...but they still sold it to me for that price.

Gurumin for $19.99 at Gamestop? Wow, that's pretty HOT! :hot: :hot:

I suppose I'll check it out when I go for the B2G1 deal this coming weekend.. :) But if someone can confirm earlier than that, it would sure help those of us planning on making a trip just to get the game.

Reminds me of when there was a thread about Pirates for PSP for $20, but I never found it at that price at any of the Gamestops around here.

i was actually in shock when I saw them (because I've been looking for both games on the cheap) and did a quadruple-take. lol

This is not YMMV. It was a price change yesterday. Gurumin dropped to $19.99 at all GS/EB locations. Some stored just didn't do their price changes it seems.

Is Gurumin even any good? I remember reading a blurb about it in Game Informer but never read anything else. Seems kind of like a kid's RPG.

Note for everyone getting Capcom Puzzle World, it is ONLY worth it for Super Puzzle Fighter, so you need to ask yourself "Is SPF worth my $20?". The other 4 games in the collection are horrible.

Gurumin is quite good, actually. I doubt that this is a universal drop -- more likely GS/EB are just clearing out what they have, so I'd jump on it at $19.99.

Yea... 82% average on Gamerankings is pretty decent.

Seems this one really slipped under the radar.

Awesome - I have been wanting Gurumin since it released, but didn't want to pay $40 for it. I just so happen to have the day off today, so I'm going to be grabbing this one for sure. Thanks (and thanks OP!). :)

I haven't paid over $20 for any PSP game I've ever gotten, and at this point I think I've gotten every big name (and little game) I was ever interested in except for 1.

PSP games drop price like a brick in the water!

Can't wait for Ratchet and Clank to go $20 and under somewhere now :D

It really is asinine that people keep thinking they'll get $40 for these. Gurumin sales will probably skyrocket now.

I was about to say I paid $40 for LocoRoco, but I got it from Rhino (RIP) with credit, and using their trade-in deals I never paid full price for games there.

So yeah, I've never paid $40 for a PSP game either. IMO, that's just too much for a portable game.

Im going to grab a copy while I am at work today, but this is a universal price drop for GS/EB. I changed the price on it to $19.99 yesterday at my store and was pretty suprised to see it drop to $20 so quickly, but it's probably due to poor sales at GS/EB, my store never even sold a copy.

Having bought a PSP two weeks ago, I'm glad I waited for a price drop. From the reviews, It looks like a pretty neat game. Shame it didn't sell well as I see it in stock in every GS I go to.

Global, eh? I almost picked this up a few days ago and now I'm glad I didn't. I'll probably wait a little bit longer and hope that this is a universal price drop for the game itself as I'd rather not shop at Gamestop or any other chains they own. ~_~

from what I've heard, Gurumin is far above average, totally AAA ARPG material, and your loss @ $19.99 clams + tax- as it is well worth its initial asking. I also heard that if you're a Zelda fan you'll love Gurumin, depending on your POV. lol

hmm. I don't know, it really does depend. For me personally, I'll gladly pay $40/exceed that for a game I consider 'must have' (MH:F, VP:L, Tales of Eternia, etc...) but do my best to find other games I consider 'must have' @ a massive value (Gundame Battle Royale, LocoRoco, Syphon Filer: DM (non-gh), Puzzle Quest, etc...) to balance things out.

Probably depends on your playstyle. I'm much more of a console gamer than I am a portable gamer, so when the price gets up to $40 I can't help but think that I can get a console game for that (Odin Sphere is going to be $40, for example). Jean d'Arc is probably the only PSP game coming out this year that I would seriously consider paying full price for, and that's just because I'm such a big Level-5 fan.

Oh, and I don't think this needs further confirmation at this point, but I just got back from grabbing Gurumin for $19.99 from my local EB. :D

Did the used price drop as well? Does GS price adjust a drop in price for used games...probably not..but does anybody know for sure. If so, I'll have to find my receipt.. If not, it doesn't really matter...it was well worth the $32!

Are the used prices lowered as well? Right now gs.com shows as 34.99 for a used Gurumin.

Would be nice to pick this up with the B2G1 sale.

Picked up the last one at the Sunnyvale EB. It was the display unfortunately but it looks like it's in excellent shape. Thanks for the mini-reviews. Looks like the major online reviews liked it so that sealed the deal.

Gurumin awsome & i can't belived it drop down $20 so fast. Yes, i still had my buddy copy & hope it drop down $20 at BB so i can snag a copy for $15 or less. :)

thanks for the tip.
picked one up.
played about an hour of this on the bus ride home after work.

seems like a top-tier PSP game so far.
litte generic on the storyline...
but good solid 3d-action-rpg stuff.
- - solid mechanics and a nicely styled visual presentation.
load times are pretty painless and well spaced out.

kinda reminded of Threads of Fate for the PS1 for some reason.

i'm likin it...still sells for ~$25 on eBay.

kid working at gamestop was all dumbfounded n shit when the game didnt ring up as sticker price

lol

anyway thanx OP.

I got my copy chillin rite by my best buy receipt so I can get $15 back when I head outside!!

Sweet, saved me a trip! I found the last sealed one on Homestead in SJ.

i got the gurumin game but will probally trade it off or return it since im spending 99% of my time on Puzzle quest (got it off gamefly last night and cant belive i played it for 6 hours --- seemed like 1 hour) and rest of time going into pokemon pearl

by the time i get to play it the game will probally be commonly found on goozex

I dunno. Mastiff games tend to have relatively small releases, so it's hard to say if it will ever become common in the way that some other games have.

Thanks OP! I picked up Gurumin off the website.

Capcom Puzzle World is also $19.99 at Amazon.com, so maybe that one is universal?
