PSP hardware questions

CAGiversary!
I have a few questions:

1. I no longer see PSP systems on retail shelves. Has the PSP been discontinued? If so, when?

2. Are all PSP-3000 systems identical, or do some have built-in Wi-Fi while others do not?

3. Will the pack-in battery eventually die, even if left in original untampered factory-sealed packaging?

4. Are third party memory sticks known to be reliable?

1. I believe the PSP is still going fairly strong in Japan so I don't think it's been discontinued just yet. Although most stores are no longer carrying them. I've seen some at Target recently.

2. They should all have built in Wi-Fi. There was a cheap $99 model in Europe I believe that may not have had it...but if you're in the US they should all have Wi-Fi.

3. As with most batteries I'd say yes. Timing of that is anyone's guess.

4. Sandisk seems to be very reliable for me....I know some people have used other brands as well.
