"PSP, The Best" titles coming soon
So....can we have an IQ test now, when someone wants to sign up for CAG? "You have to be at least this smart to start a thread" type of thing?
Tumble weeds roll through the CAG forums...

Specs are everything nowadays? Crap. I've been playing NES games exclusively (on my PSP) for the past few weeks and all that time I thought I was having fun... or was I really supposed to be because I was actually playing my PSP - the system with superior specs??? I'm so confused...

I never said specs are everything, but they are the basis on what developers create games for, and you cant play certain games if your specs arent high enough.

And yea, i believe that the PSP does have superior specs compared to the NES.

just layoff guys... some things are just better left un-said. I'd rather discuss these budget titles then what you guys seem to be worried about.

Personally I miss getting rid of my Metal Gear Ac!d, and will probably pic it up if it gets a greatest hits thingy. If THUG2 were to do so also, I would pick it up since I love action on the go.

Hmm, this is a step in the right direction. Are there any plans for a hardware price cut Stateside in the semi-near future? A cheaper console and some nicely priced games might make the PSP more tempting.

Agreed. right now, I'm so satisfied with the Ds, I can't warrant getting a PSP for so much money for the few games that interest me.

This isn't a PSP bash, because I think it's a great system. Although I dislike the UMDs, there probably are a few select UMDs I'd buy. there are also games I'd love to play, but the 250 dollar price tag keeps me away, only because I already have one handheld that I enjoy. i'm glad we're seeing game cuts, and a hardware cut might finally make me break down and buy it.
CAG trash? Is that like white trash?

Anyways. I can see how the DS owners can be jealous. Most of the DS games dropped to $6-$12 within the first 6 months. So they claim our games are overexpensive.

Also, most DS fans probably think they are getting the short end of a stick, looking at some of this month's releases, i can say they probably have that to complain about.

DS: Big Mutha Truckers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Seaworld: Shamu's Big Adventure, Kim Possible, Shrek Superslam, Pokemon, Spongebob Squarepants.

PSP: Lord of the Rings, Socom, Infected, Kingdom of Paradise, Sonic, Legend of Heroes, Tomb Raider, King Kong, Tales of Eternia

Well, if its any consolation, they gotta stop delaying Animal Crossing sometime, lol.
Was that a joke post or are you truly ignorant?

A half-assed list and a joke of a statement. Here's a lovely hint: You've neglected over 10 DS games and 4 games on the PSP list aren't even REAL

Oh well, you made me laugh, so you fufilled whatever meaning you had, run along to Gfaqs and troll there.

Back on-topic, I think it's safe to say the GH lineup will be annonced soon, X-mas season is fast approaching and PSP has a lot of catching up to do. As for the games themselves, I'm guessing pretty much all of the launch title and MAYBE HSG:OT. I'd also guess the MSRP to be $29.99 and that the label will be red, much like the PS2 GH line-up, but don't mark my words ;)

Which four games would that be? GS stopped listing Sonic, but all the others I found using a simple google search.

I'll be sure to mark at least this topic, as I'm curious to see what your definition of REAL is.

I'd like to know, too, since they're all on IGN and GS (they don't have KK though).
Yeah, for that price i would too. But thanks to KB, I dont have to.
yeah, i missed out on that one...

KB is still having the sale right now, but i doubt there are any PSP games left.

Target has Lumines & World tour soccer for $19.99, and Mercury for $13.99 (ymmv)

I got Spidey2 for $10, went back a week later and there were two more copies of it in the case. I think they are getting replenished.

Okay, so maybe "real" wasn't the right word, but "sonic" isn't a game and tomb raider, as well two other games are not coming out that day (though, truthfully, the two may be released, who knows). I was kinda blinded with anger, which happens from time to time when I listen to fanboys who knowingly warp the truth or just ignores it all together.

Back to the topic, I was just in Target yesterday, trying to get some hands-on time with the 360 (stupid war loving kiddies :bomb: ) when I noticed that, in addition to tghe clearence titles, Target has several PSP titles on a "price cut" down to $29.xx.

I believe this is the prelude.

Since sony "says" they wont be marking down the PSP for the 360 release, hopefully theyll mark some games down. I really dont see many psp's selling between 11/22 and christmas.

Well, if Meijer has one, I may be tempted to drop 199.99 on 11/26 so that I can play Lumines, Hot Shots and all that gray market material.

if thug2 were to hit $20 or below, I would pick it up even after beating the hell out of the console versions. After getting GTA:LCS for the PSP I have a hard time really comparing the DS to PSP since they seem to fulfill two entirely different worlds. DS gets my 2d and uniqe game cravings for on the go while PSP gets my 3d gaming needs for on the go. I love them both. If Sony really were focusing more on lowering game prices to Greatest Hits type of things, I think more people would be open to getting the damn system.

Not only is Xbox an extremely limited release, it also costs $150 more than the PSP.

On top of that, there is no history of portables competing with consoles.

logic anyone? Oh, sorry, forgot I was at GameFAQs 2.

I see plenty of logic in my post. More people play the home consoles than portable ones. The demand for PSP & DS on release day wasnt as high as the home consoles (PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, hell, even PS1). Therefore, the 360 is going to be a higher demand product this christmas. Even though some stores say they wont get any until april.

That's a lot different than saying you don't see many PSPs selling between now and Christmas.

Always with the GF quips

There might not be a known history of competition, but for the past 15 years the handheld market has dictated who's in control of the overall market. Don't believe me? Look Nintendo's place in the industry compared everyone else and you'll be shocked to see who's truly been dominating.

Besides that, the PSP itself is considered more electronic device, than VG system. It plays movies and music, and as a neat side-bonus, it also plays games. In that regard it's competing with the 360 in the same vein all electronic toys are facing off against each other - eg Ipod, Portable DVD player, home Systems, etc, etc.

And lastly, the 360 launch is far from limited, let alone EXTREMLY LIMITED. You make it sound as if they're only making 1,000 and that's it.
And lastly, the 360 launch is far from limited
So everyone that wants one will be able to get it at launch?

Even though this is again off topic, I need to point this out. What the fuck is your definition of limited?
I consider something limited when supply cannot meet demand. And I am 99.9% sure that the holiday supply of XBox360s will not meet the quantity demanded. Or as Quack put it, everyone who wants one will not get one.

Spoken like a true hardcore gamefaqs fanboy.

Almost every recent system launch (besides Gamecube) there was more demand than supply.

True, but that seems rather inconsequential when discussing the sales in the near term of PSP handhelds. Even if we were to assume them to be equivalent options, the demand shortfall of the 360 could only be a benefit the sales of the PSP.

Personally as I stated before I don't think handhelds and consoles should be compared. Sales or reviews. I don't think XBox sales are anyway related to the PSP topic. But to say the XBox 360 release is not limited is incorrect, and unrelated to this topic.
Most of this thread is unrelated to the topic. But I was just calling out another misleading statement made in the thread and I really need to stop viewing this thread. But for some reason stupidity amuses me but at the same time irks me.

One of the GH titles shold be an SNES emulator and SNES games.

Since that's what most people do with a PSP anyway.

I'd buy it if they could get the framerate at 100%. :D

Its T-Mobile, not Cingular

Can you hear me now?

why is there such controversy over the PSP... it's a quality handheld device... the games aren't there yet but they will be...

The entire city of Atlanta was sold out by noon. Atlanta isn't exactly Kiln, MS.

Now, i guess i can sort of go back on what i said. The PSP may sell pretty good over christmas, only because people cant get a Xbox 360 and they want something else to play. But as far as demand, i think the 360 will have a much higher demand. That is why ppl are paying 3 grand for a 360. Some are even paying the same amount of a PSP giga pack just for the 360's harddrive.

Well, if you have a target near you, pretty much all the launch titles go for $19.99. And you can find a lot of the newer games for even chepaer on play-asia.com.

DUde, I can't find a headset either!! When i play FTB I just do the missions... the multiplayer experience isn't the same without a headset.

The only place I've seen the headset and got mine was at an EB, haven't seen it anywhere else, and all the places around me have no idea what I'm talking about.

LOL, one last comment... I went there and I couldn't find the headset. I love playing FTB online, but not without a headset...

So, new psp game prices?? I just paid $40 for a PSP game and I thought that was too much.
