Was in K-Mart over the Memorial Day weekend (Lake Mary, FL), and I noticed that most of their UMD movies were priced at 14.99. These movies were in the glass PSP games' case, and were not part of any sale or Blue-Light Special as far as I could tell. These were the titles they had in stock:

$14.99
Resident Evil
Hellboy
Once Upon a Time in Mexico

$19.99
House of Flying Daggers

Not an astounding price, but still $5 less than MSRP (which I believe Best Buy, EB, etc are still charging). And I'm assuming these prices are nationwide (although I haven't confirmed this).

The $14.99 ones are the same price at CC. Pretty sure I've seen them other places for that price, too.

universal media disc, its the format that psp compatible games/movies come in :)
What's "universal" about it?
With the exception of Warner Brothers (who have their own proprietary format with the Mini-DVD), all of the other major movie studios have signed on to produce UMD movie releases.

Is it DVD-compatible?

No.

The "universal" part about it is that it plays game, movies, music etc.
