Just picked one up in excellent shape today, great investment if you have a bunch of PSN content. Also noticed the accessories are dirt cheap as well, Happy Hunting !!

he can use a wireless headset/phones so it won't be loud
I went to my local GS and was too late for this deal, but i did score a mis marked 3000 for $59. That completes my set of all psp models. So far my Go and Vita are my favs. The Go is super portable and the 16 gigs, bluetooth is great for watching movies at work! Long story short, i will still be buying another Go.
The deals over!?

Deal is still on, sorry.. the hick store i went to sold the only 1 they had in stock.

I work on an assembly line so the BT headphones are helpful to watch stuff without holding it the whole time.
may pick one up Friday, like someone else asked was there only that one guy who got the new converted to used GO?
I checked one of the stores by me and they had only actually used consoles. I will try my other ones to see if I can find a legitimate new copy.

The chances of you finding a Brand New PSP Go from gamestop is about the same as waking up and eating a bowl of cereal with a talking tiger

So basically we are guaranteed to find new ones?! fucking awesome, hell I was going to wait till it was in the $50 range for a gamble like this; but damn you've convinced me with your iron clad reasoning in favor of such an awesome deal!!

So is homebrew frowned upon in this community? Is there any good sites that cover instructions and processes?

I'm all about buying games and supporting developers and artists. But for a dinky 10 year old psp game, yeahhhh.

Homebrew is a nebulous area, but pirating talk is definitely not cool.

Happens every day; therefore, I am going right now to get my new PSPgo. Seriously, I have never found anything from GameStop used that did not look like it was used as a hockey puck. Cowboom.com often has PSPgo systems for around the $70-90 mark, and I have gotten three white PSPgo systems from them in excellent condition; buy the one with the most included accessories and highest rating. Every few days the pricing and stock changes. I play my PSPgo more than my 3DS, Xbox360, and PS3 combined for all of the reasons mentioned in this thread. Good system for gaming on the go. Huge library of RPG, action, puzzle, and pretty much every other genre of game. Two exclusive God of War games, even; that has to seal the deal.
Those God of War games are on the PS3, though.

Have one of the OG fat PSPs. Wouldn't mind getting one of these to play on my TV.
That's right... They did re-release them on the PS3 as part of a compilation. At one point though, they were exclusive.

I bought a pspgo from a guy on Craigslist a month ago, it cost me $85 but he had it in literally perfect condition and it even had a invisi-shield which covers the whole unit. I am a vita owner and honestly I have been using the go so much more than the vita, it is an extremely portable system. I just wish that I had owned this during all those years I had my old 1000 just gathering dust. I definitely reccomend getting one to anybody who might be interested, I highly doubt you won't love it!

I'm not saying that a used one wouldn't be well taken care of, or look almost like new.

But i'm saying the chances of finding a new one still packaged in the box at GAMESTOP un-tampered are very slim. The system was discontinued officially by Sony more than a year ago. So stock has been liquidated or returned to the Sony's warehouse by various retailers.

I bought mine from Sams club for $47. Pearl White and Piano Black. Use one to take with me for music and games and one i have at home as a "console". Dock, High def component cables, Dual shock 3 link, etc.. The pspgo is a great system. Also i own a vita which i carry around constantly too. I love having both around and being able to choose which to play based on the scenario i'm in.

Currently the only place i think to get a brand new one for those picky about used consoles is directly from Sony.com for $199.99

Those two statements contradict each other.
If you want to pirate stuff, that is your personal choice.
Just don't try and justify it.
Many PSP games are available on the PSN store (not all though which sucks).
Also, there is not a single psp game out there that is 10 years old
(the psp itself isn't even that old).
Third, why are going through all the trouble just to pirate a dinky psp game?

This is more attractive to me than Cowboom for a few reasons:
 1. Currently $20 cheaper
 2. I have about $30 of Gamestop credit that I'm probably not going to use otherwise.
 3. I can at least examine the PSP Go before buying it.
 4. If I have an issue, I can at least go to a store rather than shipping it out.

True, I could see how the statements might seem to contradict themselves.

Just to be clear, I do not pirate any content. I purchase my games, movies and music in a completely legit manner. So I don’t mean for it to come off as though I’m trying to justify stealing.

I was merely just trying to get some dialog going. I really wanted to know if there was any benefit in buying a PSPgo if I already have a PS Vita. Aside from it being a portable unit and being able to play it on the TV.

I just picked one up, wanted a white one but didn't feel like checking every store. It does have the Sony charge cable, looks pretty good. Eating buffalo wild wings then gonna check it out. If it doesn't wow me its going back.

Went out and got mine at lunch. Mine actually came with a case. Looks like it is in good shape, and there was enough charge on it to make sure the controls worked.
quick question, people are saying the PSP 3000 is 59.99 but the online says 80, something different?
Anyone?

I went to my local gamestop and the refurbished unit they had was $79.99(the online price).
I bought it because it looked like brand new, and thankfully it is working great. Even at $79.99 it is still a great deal!
Anyone?
The sign I saw today said that PSPs "started at" 59.99. I'm guessing that at that price, you are getting a 1000.

My EB did not have a go, but I did pick up a 2000 for $59.99. Took advantage of the B2G1 on used PSP games and picked up Monster Hunter Freed Unite, Peace Walker, and Knights in the Nightmare for about $20.

:whistle2:kI really torn about keeping the Go or returning it for a 3000. Don't really want to put custom firmware on the Go yet so games and movies for the 3000 are cheaper, but UMDs are annoying:whistle2:k

Decisions decisions

Picked one up today after stopping by 3 different stores. Got a new one That was converted to used. Then went to a 4th store and found the official component cable for $8.99. Overall good day. Might swing by a 5th store to find a few more accessories :)
tldr... is the PSPgo firmware hackable to run emulators and other goodies?
Most definitely. That's one of the main reasons why it's so desired. That and with the 16 gig internal memory, it's an emulating machine.

Yeahhhhh buddy!!
Just came back from the 5th GameStop. Picked up the official sony case (foam one with zipper that had the PspGo logo imprinted in it) for $2.99! Also got the official sony starter kit for $4.99 (comes with another case that's vinyl I think with the X, O, triangle and square desigbs on it with a zipper, screen protector, screen wipe, and headphones!)

You may wanna delete this, as talking about modding or things of this sort aren't allowed on CAG. Many posts have been deleted in this thread due to that very reason.

Count me in for snagging one! I got a white one that is in perfect condition. I got a memory card too but noticed when I got home that it's not the M2 card but a SDHC

Also, one Best Buy around my way has a few accessories left for it on clearance such as screen protectors and cases for $3 each. I grabbed one of each and used the $5 coupon they gave to RZ members and paid only a dollar :bouncy:

Time to redownload all those PSN games again. The Vita's going on the shelf for a bit.

This thread is the reason I got PSP Go today. I was trying to resist for few days, but could not hold any longer after I red all your posts. Finaly I went today to my local GS (was secretly hoping GOs are sold out), but they have 4 in stock. Especialy one of them was looking like brand new, so I got it. It works perfectly and looks mint, in addition it has 8 preloaded games from previous owner. I am happy, OP thanks for posting this deal.

Wouldn't those games be tied to an account? Unless s/he forgot to sign out...Oh boy...:applause:

Maybe they never actually signed into PSN like me thus far on my Go I have? I've downloaded any games that I wanted to put on my Go via my PS3 or my PC via Media Go and simply copied them over to the system without ever signing into my PSN account on it.

Huh. Didn't realize you could do that. The more you know!

Yeah. You can download them to your PS3(or PC if it allows it like some of the Minis do) and then transfer it over via that USB cable that they give you with the Go.

I'm so tempted to find one now even though I've really been wanting a vita. They both seem to have features the other doesn't that makes it worth it.

I didn't get a USB cable. Just a charging one.

My charger is AC part, with a USB end that plugs into that and GO

Damn, wish I figured that out earlier. Guess I won't be playing the games that are on there anymore...
