Just picked one up in excellent shape today, great investment if you have a bunch of PSN content. Also noticed the accessories are dirt cheap as well, Happy Hunting !!

I just grabbed one. It was actually used. There's no memory in the slot (bummer) and I'm waiting for it to power on to see if there's anything on it. At this point I wish I'd spent $10 more for a refreshed version.
I like this one off newegg for $20 each. It's a 32 GB micro SDHC card and has a class 4 write speed. That might be slower than you'd want but it will read files just as fast as a class 10 card. Get two of them and bam, 64 GB of storage for a hell of a lot cheaper than sony ever intended. 32 GB Micro SDHC
You can use this adapter once you get two of the cards. *LINK REMOVED*
It's about $5 more than some of the other adapter's off amazon, but the reviews were pretty mixed on the cheap ones.

Edit: Hmmm. I may need to read up on this more. There does seem to be some arguing about whether 64 gb is supported and if so, it may need a specific adapter and not the one I linked. Some caution is needed I guess.

Edit 2: Okay, so don't use the adapter I listed. Use this one off of amazon instead. From everything I've read, there are confirmed reports of getting 64gb of storage using this adapter and two 32gb micro sdhc cards. PhotoFast CR-5400 Also, this may only work if you have cfw on your psp but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, you should always have cfw (cfw does not equal pirating).
Those reports have to be false as items that can read the "high capacity" level of memory cards are limited to 32gb due to hardware addressing limitations.

also if you buy a photofast cr5400, be sure to research what a real one looks like as there are alot of fakes out there that get really hot and melt in your system.

I also own that one from ebay (I actually got it from that seller) and it does support one 32gb card in slot one just like the cr5400. so far ive had no hiccups with it, but i do suggest you buy class 6 or higher memory to put in it. class 4 works, but is a little slow...
I just found this out too. I was thinking of getting this. Anyone think this is a good price? 2x16gb
http://www.ebay.com/itm/32GB-Memory...=357506898042149513&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&
The price is ok... you can get the card alone from them for $3.99 and then a single 32gb chip from frys for $12.99 (after $7 rebate). you will get slightly faster reads/writes with the 2 chips though as these adapters work like raid arrays.

Some people have been finding PSP Go memory cards that the former owners left in the memory card slot when they traded them in.

I forgot this thread was for all versions of the PSP. I've been getting excited about upping my memory for the PSPgo with all these adapters, nope. Sony M2 memory only. Dammit.

youtube imo, took a few searches but eventually found reliable guide

Yeah, I finally found a guide that had it done in three steps. Every other guide in the forums was written out in 8 different colors with little to no explanation to anything. Trying to find information in the forums is a nightmare, I guess I'll try YouTube.

Sort by date (recent is better) then look at number of thumbs up vs down, that should tell u if its good or bad... also comments help too

Wait, I don't understand what you're saying...so it's impossible to have a combined 32 GB + 32 GB = 64 GB of storage on a PSP 3000? Do you have cfw? Apparently from what I've read, the system limits of 32 GB of storage was removed quite some time ago by the developer's of cfw. I'm not saying you're wrong, I've just seen a LOT of reports to the contrary.

Found and bought a new ----> used at GS a couple days ago. Even with just the onboard 16 gb of memory, it's tough to fill up. I'd have to count how many games I stuck on there but I still have like 1.3 gb left.

Still, the controls are not really up to par with the PSP 3000. I'm about 6'1" with what I always figured were average hands and it gets crampy pretty quickly. I have yet to do much with the analog nub but I imagine that will be very difficult. Still, for the price and the condition of the system, it was a good deal. As I try out more different games, it might become my PSP/PSOne RPG machine.

EDIT - 34 games at the moment. Most are PSOne titles but I have some beefy ones on there like SW - The Force Unleashed, Battlefront 2, and FF Dissidia.

The problem is its not just a software limit, its the hardware. Most people with cfw who have tried to use 64gb of memory can see more (i've seen various amounts from 48gb to the full 64gb (which is impossible as some space is taken up in the formatting)), but when they go to try and write to the card it limits them to 32gb of data. so all i can see that cfw did is allow users to see the amount of memory in the system, but the hardware still limits the use.

I'm currently running 660 Pro-C cfw, using a photofast cr5400 with one 32gb micro sdhc card.

I'm not saying people haven't somehow gotten it to work, I'm just saying unless sony put in hardware with unlockable pieces (like cpus), the hardware should be set and unchangable to allow larger memory. BUT, I could be wrong and its not hardware, but software limiting it. PC's, once they went 64bit, could address up to 8-192gb depending on which version of windows you have... but without the right bios and memory controller, you are again limited to a set number. so it flip flops between it being a hardware and software issue.
Any one knows where I can buy a cheap factory refurbished PSP 3000?
As I'm sure it was said in this thread, all psp's are cheaper at gamestop right now. I got my god of war edition (flawless) psp 3000 for the $69.99 price with a free year extended warranty. Clerk also messed up and combined it with the previous b2g1 sale and when it would ring up right she gave me a second game free (so i got the system, free warranty, 1 game, and 2 free games). Gotta love people who dont know what they are doing....

EDIT: Sorry. didnt see the word "factory" in your question. In reality, even though they may be shinier, a factory warranty is usually only 30-60 days on a refurb... so youd be better off buying one from GS if you can find a clean one like i did. Just ask the clerk if they have any 3000's in great condition. If they dont, have them call up other loacal stores to find one for you.

Well you just sold me on NOT buying a go with the $25 off coupon at Gamestop... Damn sony and their expensive memory...

God of War PSP for $69 is a pretty good price. I called one at the store 2 days ago and he said he has one for $69.99 but its just the regular black 3000 psp, didnt say anything about it coming with free games.

I didn't say it was hard to do, I said they make it as complicated and nonsensical as possible in their "tutorials." I finally found a page that was straightforward with what to do and it was super easy.

I can't recommend enough the PSP Go Cradle that I picked up when I got mine. They are only $2.99. Being able to play the games on your TV with a PS3 controller is extremely satisfying. One of the cooler aspects of having the Go.

What $25 off coupon are you referring to?

Even better is being able to play it on that Playstation 3D display. Every PSP game I've played on there has looked tremendous.
What $25 off coupon are you referring to?
Sorry. forgot the word "rewards" before coupon. There is or was a $25 off any used system coupon on the rewards website for like 12,000 points. I was saving up my points for the $20 off anything coupon, but almost got that coupon to get a go. But since i got a 3000, and the go uses M2 cards, i decided to not bother. Gonna just continue to save up the points....

Yeah it was pretty good.
The free games i got was because of a mix of the B2G1 used sale a couple weeks ago, combined with an airhead salesperson not knowing how to ring things up correctly so she just altered the price of the 2 games to free to fix the errors she couldn't figure out. I was only supposed to get one game free, and the warranty free, but ended up getting 2 games and the warranty for free.

Found the white one with the one year warrenty. A little more worse to wear then my black one but still happy with the system as a whole.

For the price ...
Seems like i slept on this deal. They're all gone in my area. The Recharged/Refurbished PSP Go is going for $79 now. Not avaliable online.

http://www.gamestop.com/psp/consoles/sony-pspgo-system-recharged-refurbished/90578

Maybe I'll just have to settle for a PSP 3000 after all. I was mainly looking to play RPG that I d/l from PSN anyway. (Several avalible for $7.49)
Pre-owned and Refurbished/Recharged are 2 different things. You'll need to contact your local GS and have them search for a pre-owned PSPgo if you are still looking for one.
I found the component cables, travel cases and accessory bag for $2 each at an HEB Plus (Texas)
My brother works at the one here in town. Are they advertised as being that price? I think the last time I was there I couldn't find a thing for the Go.

Desperately want the component cables.

I picked up a set of used component cables today at GS. Can't beat $2.99. Here's the sku number if anyone needs it. 900772

Just a heads up to anyone that got in on this deal and needs a memory card. Best Buy has the official Sony 2gb and 4gb M2 cards (with adapter) for only $1.99. They are outlet items.

Hoping to get a deal on a 16gb, but thanks.

If anyone's interested in first party PSP headphones or a UMD case, they are also a part of Best Buy's summer blowout extravaganza- guess they want to clear out all the PSP stuff for Vita accessories

Got a PSP GO and its full of games, but each time I try to play one, this message comes up.

To use his content, you must activate the system (801085OF).

I dont want to mess it up, but I assume the games are locked to the previous owners account and will be deleted when I register it, am I correct?

I really want to keep the games which include Littlebigplaner, MGS, motor storm, echochrome, army of two, Buzz and a few more.
