I used DVD Decrypter to rip my DVD to my hard drive and now I'm trying to compress it using DVDvideo9. Right now The Incredibles is going to be 1.6GB (it's 2 hours). Is there any way to make the file smaller - like around 500MB? Is 640kbps for video and 96kbps for audio going to be decent quality?

Thanks!

Anyone? Is there an in-depth guide to using DVDvideo9? Something I ca use for settings and managing my files and stuff?

Here is a guide at Mobile Deviant. It's kinda buried on the PSPVideo9 site. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't say how well it works if you follow it. I'm guessing it's pretty good since PSPVideo9 has it linked.

IF you go into the setup tab, it'll tell you how many MB the video will end up being after transferring, you can mess with the settings from there to get it to the right size.

Thanks. I found the settings tab but I'm not sure what to do. The last video I converted to .mp4 was just awful... the video was OK but the sound was lagging about 3 seconds behind. It was unwatchable. It takes so long to convert something, I'm afraid that I'll have to try each setting once before settling on something I like - what a pain!

I had the same problem with the sound delay for one of the videos I converted. Try converting the same file again, because the second time around it converted perfectly.
