I just woke up late today to find I got some more crappy mail from Playstation Underground. I opened it up and inside is a letter congradulating me on becoming a member, even though I've been a member for two years already. Included was a $5 coupon off any PS2 game at BB with no minimum price and expires July 3rd, 2006. It's not a super deal, but this could either lead to a free game or save you some money on games that are below $19.99 (ie. games that won't work with the GGC).

I understand that this is probably a random thing since most PSUnderground stuff is so not everyone will get it.

Contrary to your predictions, I was able to use a print out of the scan today just fine--picked up a copy of Silent Hill 4 (PS2) for $5+tax after coupon

Thats what I was looking to read! Great news! And thanks for that list! some of those games still have the original price as marked. Ill check 'em out.

bstan -- I used it last night (the printout of the PS2 scan) and it rang up as $5 off PS2 or PSP game. The PS2 coupon seems like it would work for both, I imagine the PSP coupon would be the same. Probably even the same UPC number if you check. Though a scan of it would be great too. I'm sure everyone would enjoy it.

I am pretty sure the scan we have now will wprk for psp games. At one register the coupon scanned fine, but I ended up with one of those fat style yellow receipts. So I go back again later to try it on some 4.99 games and this time at another register the coupon wasn't scanning and the employee was giving me a hard time about the coupon not being the original. I just said I got it form the internet, its a ps underground coupon. She called up the manager said it was okay and I walked out with 4 games for 10 bucks. The coupon works, just not as good as that other.

the old one was great since it was made to be printed. I literrally printed 70 of them and handed them out to friends since they were so useful.

Wow, great coupon. Perhaps I'll try this tomorrow and spare on eof my GGCs that I are so scarce. Maybe I'll try getting Getaway if my BB has it. Other than that, I have already bought most of the worthy $10 titles from last year's coupon.
For Expert ONLY!
Can someone adjust the coupon little smaller. It does kill my ink after i printed out 3 times.
I don't know about IE6 or IE7, but if you use Mozilla Firefox, you can adjust the Scale to 60% or smaller (the default is Shrink To Fit); once you find the size that's right for you, hit the Print button. The quality of your output will depend on the printer though.
The coupon worked like a charm for me. Picked up Rise of the Kasai and a pack of gum for $0.96.
Did the cashier have to overwrite the register? Typically at BB, a $5 off coupon would not work on the $4.99 game. The coupon might scan but nothing would be deducted.

Did the receipt show $5 off the game (making it -$0.01) or $5 off the total?

I don't think the cashier had to override...My recepit says that the coupon took 4.99 off the game. I think it helps if you buy something along w/ the game. Always YMMV with these things though...

I got Rise of the Kasai without having to buy anything else. The coupon scanned, the cashier had to answer Yes to the "Apply package $5 off any PS2 or PSP game", and the transaction zeroed out. She was surprised that the transaction finished when she hit total.

If any of the cashiers give you BS for getting a game for free ever, just explain the coupon and make a point that they notice there is no minimum. IF they still refuse you, be sure to talk with a manager there. I've done it before nad it's almost a guarantee from there on.

It worked for me. The print out is a bit small though at it's full size so it wasn't scanable, the girl at the register had to enter the number manually`and the whole time i was just waiting for her to say it was a fake. I ended up picking up Wildarms 4 for 16 bucks after tax.

If anyone can measure their actual coupon I could try to resize this to match it. But you getto remember to turn off your "size to fit" option when you print it.

A few times an override was needed and when that happens the manager comes and man I hate that. So far tho no managers have givin me any trouble. The more we use it the more they seem less likely to care.

I used the scan twice now. Once for a Rise of Kasai $4.99 - $5 and once on the new teen titans game $19.99 - $5. Just remember buying a single $4.99 game and thats it is the most likely way to get denied. When I bought the $4.99 game I also purchased a coke ;).

Does anyone know for sure if Circuit City price matches these coupons? I might go over there and see if they have any $10 games left and pricematch the coupon because I got Path of Neo only with the pricematch at BB =(

Has any one got it to work with a black and white print out? I'm pretty sure it's YMMV as far as that goes but I'm too cheap to buy/use color ink. I really want to use this coupon but the BB here has horrible scanners. The items in the store scan fine but it's kind of peculiar that coupons (internet and mail) don't ever scan.. o_O`

thanks OP for the heads up, and thanks to whoever scanned it.

Just printed one out, headed over to bestbuy and scooped up Katamari Damacy for a cool $15. Couldn't find a better deal anywhere! :D
I have been using black & white scans only. I been sizing it to be about 4 x 6 and it scans no problem.
Thank you very much, I'll try it out today!

EDIT: Worked like a charm. Much thanks OP and bob!

Rise of the Kasai is apparently sold out everywhere now. :p

Dual Masters is still in stock at most stores I go to, and even comes with free trading cards. For free, this game makes an excellent gift.

Thank you for posting the coupon!!! I got Duel Master (Free after coupon) and Silent Hill 4 ($5.40 after coupon), they can be traded in at GameStop for $2 + $2.50 for Duel Master, and $9 + $2.50 for Silent Hill 4 with the current trade in 4 games get extra $10!

The coupon says 7/3.

i tried using a color scan of the coupon, but it wouldn't scan. they sent me to customer service and it wouldn't scan their either. i told the person that you would probably have to input the number manually and that didn't even work (odd)...

anyway, she filled out this yellow paper and stapled it to my receipt and i managed to get mortal kombat deception for 5 bucks. thanks op!

i will try a smaller black and white scan of the coupon like kjauburn mentions and see how that goes for me.

I got Rise of Kasai for free after the coupon. I used a color printout of the coupon that was about 2 inches wide... the cashier couldn't scan the UPC so he entered the UPC code manually and it took off the $5.

Thanks. Picked up dragonquest VIII. It was 24.99 but I have been itchin to play this. Has anybody played star wars Ep. III? I thought about picking that up.

I'm amazed this has been so successfully used as it clearly says "no copies, facsimilies, or any other reproductions are allowed". And managers are coming over and actually giving approval!? Astounding. I know the "original" $5 coupon said similar and I got shot down a few times with that.

What sucks about this one is the damn dark background. The others were easier to pass off because they LOOKED like photocopies to begin with. (Plus they used less ink ).

Yea, the frickin ink carts are hurting, but its worth it. Like I said before, once this coupon get used so many times, managers just begin to not give a shit, unless they are having a bad day (never want to deal with them on a bad day...). Employees have actually been giving me more trouble that the lame managers!

well,i went to another bestbuy and tried a smaller black and white copy of the coupon. it still wouldn't scan, but the lady input the upc code and it worked fine.i got nhl 2005 for free and i also picked up,while i was there,a few penny guides and a 1.99 volume twelve jampack just so i didn't look too cheap. thanks again,op! plan on using this coupon a bunch more.

you shouldn't feel ashamed of looking cheap. I've walked out one time with 5 free games, and 4 penny guides. The clerked acted surprised the whole time, but it's not like I was ripping them off since it was all BB's decision to price the things the way they do.

Used a color coupon again - this time the cashier had no trouble scanning it - I made the coupon larger than before - and I walked out with a free copy of Rise of Kasai. It gets $6 credit at EB games with an extra $2.50 if you trade in 4 games.

My plan is if anyone gives you BS, just say you are in PSU and didn't put your street address in the information and you just got it from your e-mail.

ie. you would be BSing them, but hey, it works :)

Hopefully I can get Liberty City Stories with the coupon from Circuit City. For those that have done it, is it asking them to accept the competitor's coupon or asking them to price match it?

I took a B&W coupon to Best Buy when I was looking for penny guides. I was disappointed no Rise of Kasai, Genji, or SH4. But I did get a Dual Masters for free. Actually I got that and 4 guides for 4 pennies which she took off the top of the register :D.

I printed the B&W one about 7 x 2.5 or so (I cropped it to just the coupon part), it scanned just fine.

I just used my second printout of the coupon and took home the last copy of GTA:LCS for the PS2 that they had on the shelf. Once again no reaction from the girl at the register she just scanned it and totalled up the cost. 16.25 after tax.

I resized the coupon image to be about 6 inches the long way and it scanned instantly unlike the printout I used with the original sizing.
No go for me at the Best Buy I went to, as they do not accept "online" coupons. No price match at two of the Circuit Cities as well. Sigh...
They don't accept online coupons!?!?! thats BS! Can stores make their own policy?
