psycho mantis and the ps3

CAGiversary!
You know how in the psycho mantis fight in metal gear solid you have to switch controller ports so he cant "read your mind"?? How do u get past this on the ps3 witht he wireless controller?

Beat him without cheating? It is possible to beat him without switching over to another port. But if you can't do that do what Thomas suggested.
Too bad theres no way for psycho mantis to move the controller on the ps3.
GTFO he picked mine up off the floor. Then he made it spin around in the air really fast, and after that he thrusted it out of my window where it hit my ex g/f in the head giving her brain damage. The after that a dog came over, sniffed her and peed on her face. Causing me days of laughter, me and mantis still talk about it to this day. Good times... good times..... ;)

It's not cheating...its pretty much designed to have you switch ports. MGS is not a standard game with 'cheating' and 'black and white'. It gives you invisibility / infinite ammo items that are story items, using them on the subsequent playthroughs aren't cheating in my opinion, who cares, you earned it. The boss fight is fun and different, not meant to be laboured through and 'toughed out' by a tough gamer who won't resort to 'cheating'.

yeah considering in many faqs and guides it tells you to switch ports i wouldnt say its cheating in the traditional sense of the word

LOL

But he's right.... It's not cheating. You're supposed to switch the controllers. Figthing him without switching them is the same as deciding to beat the tank without grenades. Sure you can do it, but it's obvious what the way you're supposed to do it is.

I know I was just giving him a hard time about it. Besides it really doesn't matter to me how anyone plays, that is up to them. I just like getting some tension going some times. I'm sure he knows I was just giving him hard time. ;)

*runs through topic naked while screaming TWIN SNAKES!!!*

But seriously, I don't have to worry about not having rumble or changing virtual ports. I've got real rumble and real ports.

Lol I am serious, they re-did all the cut scenes in MGS:TTS from the original. They are more action oriented then they were in MGS1. I do have to say the made the scene with Grey Fox 10X better where you first meet him trying to save Baker. That scene was great, the hind one was kind of.. over the top Dante-ish...

Hmmm, guess I'll play through it to see the cutscenes then.

Twin Snakes just feels odd when compared to MGS1.
They all seem bigger and the areas smaller to me, and I kept getting found and killed right at the beginning...after breezing through MGS1 a bajungle times :dunce:

Shoot, with all the stuff they injected and did to Solid Snake, he should have some Dante qualities (Foxdie FTW :fridge:)
Hoh!

I also checked out the cutscene where the ninja kills all the soldiers in the corridor, THAT was pretty cool.
Yeah two of the best scenes in MGS:TTS. I liked it but I still prefer the original, I would recommend at least one play through though to see the scenes.
