anyone who doesn't have this go for it, its worth $50 - that good for real.

games like this need to be made and bought more often!
My girlfriend is about 75% done with the game, and she's nearing 16 hours of playtime. A good gamer could probably finish it in 8-10 if they really haul ass.
whoa.. did you just say you're girlfriend wasn't a "good" gamer.. ooo it must suck to be you right now.

She's not. She just started playing games a few weeks ago. Seriously, she gets frustrated playing all the time and always asks me to do things for her. She was stuck on one part of the game for what seemed like an eternity, and I came in and beat it in a matter of seconds. It's all good, at least she plays games though. ;)
It will be $19.99 in a few months. It tanked hard and the CEO resigned because f it and Advent Rising.
Aw man, that sucks. Majesco was a company known for giving hot love to us gamers this last generation (GGXX #Reload, Phantom Dust both at 20 bucks a pop, both being worth far more and their supposedly awesome charity sale) I hope that wont change with the CEO gone.

"Majesco Entertainment has announced that its CEO and Chairman Carl Yankowski has resigned, following a major revision of Majesco's guidance for the fiscal year ending October 31st, 2005 which has plunged the company into predicting a loss for the year."

"Game publisher Majesco's bid to become a higher-profile outfit has taken a temporary setback, after potentially disappointing sales of high-profile titles Psychonauts and Advent Rising were cited by an analyst as a reason to downgrade the company's stock rating, and a single-day shareprice dive resulted.

JMP Securities analyst Ingrid Ebeling wrote in her report that, according to sales data she had received, Advent Rising did well in its initial release, but slowed down afterward due to somewhat unflattering game reviews and word-of-mouth. The Xbox release of Psychonauts, meanwhile, never found the mass audience its large ad campaign was intended to draw, and ended up as more of a niche title.

Ebeling said that she expects Majesco's earnings to stay on track with the previously anticipated values, but indicates that she hoped to see the company return to its previous strategy of concentrating on budget releases, such as Game Boy Advance titles and its $20 console games like Phantom Dust and Guilty Gear X2 #Reload. However, with a number of other high-profile games in the pipeline, including Jaws and Taxi Driver, there's no sign that Majesco intends to do this in the short-term."

Well, at least Phantom Dust and Guilty Gear were mentioned in a positive light.

Jaws...and taxi...

I could understand working on psychonauts which is considered a great game (i have yet to purchase it - saving for nippon ichi)...

But jaws...and taxi?

Dear god.

lol.. there was a review for Jaws in the latest issue of Blender (which is funny, since the game isn't even complete yet).. but they mentioned that there's 28 points of decapitation.. sounds good to me!

The first time I saw psychonauts, I didn't like the commercials at all. I don't know if it was just billed wrong or what. I also wasn't aware that it was also released on PS2. Like it or not, I don't think the game found its audience, which is really a shame.
