UPDATE: Now $12.99 :)

If the XBLA edition of Puzzle Quest isn't for you, and neither is the Wii version (both are $15) then you might be interested in the PSP version.

Most people seemed to have preferred the PSP version over the DS version. The DS version is still $20, this is $15 $12.99 which is a great price..AND for portability! :applause:

Puzzle Quest

Amazon has it for $12.99 right now! Was still $14.99 this morning. So order or get an adjustment if it applies to you.

And pricegrabber still has the $5.00 review bonus available too.

People thinking about getting the PSP version please note that the game has a decent handful of bugs, the first found being that the 1st companion's special power does not work. This is confirmed and will not be fixed. I played both the PSP & DS versions and despite liking the PSP version slightly better, missing the automatic 10 HP knocked off of undead at the start of a battle was a deal-breaker. I've read about other shutdown, magic-causing-lockup and miscellaneous PSP bugs since that time.

On that note, I just saw the DS version in my local Target's $15 DS game display by the front registers. Get them while they're hot.

I bought this a while back and I keep it on my memory stick all the time. For those who take advantage of that feature, Its pretty small, under 200MB, very convenient.

You consider that a deal breaker? The companions' skills are completely unnecessary for combat, and would probably make it too easy if their skills did work. It's true though, none of the companions' special bonuses work, so watch out for that it if matters to you. I've never had any shutdown or lockup, though.

I compressed mine down to a CSO, and it's only 61.5 MB. Perfect for keeping on my memory stick so I can leave a bigger game in my umd slot.

The DS version has bugs too, and I've never heard of any game killing bugs in the PSP version.

At any rate, it's back up to $15 which psychologically it a bit much for me (I'd probably get stuck pretty fast...)
