After hearing CheapyD talk about Puzzle Quest so much in the cagcast, I decided to buy the DS version... but before that arrived, I downloaded the demo of the PC version and started playing. From what I can tell, the only 2 limitations of the demo are the you can't progress past level 7, and the story stops after you get back to the main city with the first companion. But that's not enough for me... I can play the PC demo at work, but holding a DS looks a little shifty. So, I decided to see how far I can get, and how much I can figure out, using just the very first 3 cities, and the very limited quests and encounters.
So far, with my level 7 wizard with 65 hit points, I've completed every quest available, done the Patrol Duty repeatable quest about 50 times (literally), gotten 5005 experience points, purchased almost all of the upgrades in the main city, gotten every rune in all available outposts (including killing the level 27 orc or skeleton thing), successfully sieged both secondary cities (sieging the one city with 215 hit points that does 13 damage with each hit is NOT easy... but it is possible by level 7), captured every enemy that shows up in the demo (that you can fight more than once), learned every spell from those enemies, and trained my rat mount up to level 6. I'm not done yet, by the way. I just wanted to see if anyone else is caught up with this game as much as I am.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
