Entertainment Weekly reports that while talking to an Italian television show, director Quentin Tarantino confirmed that he plans to revist Uma Thurman's character in Kill Bill 3. Tarantino wants to have a ten year gap between the release of Kill Bill 2 and Kill Bill 3 (some sites are mentioning a rumored title of Kill the Bride), and that would put the release some time in 2014. That would still give QT time to make another movie before then. In 2014, Uma Thurman will have aged to 44, and her daughter from the first two movies will have aged as well. There are several rumors about what exactly the third movie's plot could be about, most of which involve characters from the first two movies getting revenge against The Bride for the violence she inflicted on their lives.

:whee:

I can easily see one character making a return:
Vivica Fox's character's daughter from the first one. The Bride even made reference to it after she killed her mom.

I'll be cautiously optimistic about this.

There's rumors that Tarantino shot extra footage with her to set up a future movie.

Eh. I mean, it's Tarantino, but the idea still sounds kind of iffy. Kill Bill as a whole is so great already.

Yep, it almost assuredly will focus on that with
the blind Elle training her to get revenge
.

I just wish he'd get the lead out of his ass and finish The Whole Bloody Affair. And the mysteriously absent Jackie Brown that was supposed to have been released on Blu-Ray months ago.

I cant be the only one who thinks this is a bad idea can I? I mean, there really is not a need to come out with a third movie, the first 2 kicked ass and chewed bubble gum. This one could easily turn out to my like Rush Hour 3.

yeah thats the only way he could go with it the only other person alive from all that is that chick sophie so as long as that chick kills uma and then they stick with her against uma's daughter then it could be interesting. im not really for a sequel though since i hated kill bill 2 ( ending and most of the film was a big dissapointment) but if they do it by using vivicas daughter and uma's as the main characters and keep it high action it could be ok.

I disagree. There could be an interesting morality play at work here that Quentin can work with.

This was discussed almost right after Kill Bill Volume 2 came out (side note: this film would be Kill Bill 2 since the 1st two volumes are technically one film). I also heard the rumor they shot more footage of the daughter, just in case he got around to making it. Nice to hear it might actually move forward.

I assume it would be called Kill Bill Volume 3.

Old news. Seriously old 2004 news.

According to Bloody-Disgusting.com, details have emerged about Kill Bill Volumes 3 and 4. According to the article, "Bennett Walsh said at the Shanghai International Film Festival the third film involves the revenge of two killers whose arms and eyes were hacked by Uma Thurman in the first stories", which suggest Sofie and Elle, respectively. The article adds that, "the fourth installment of the popular kung fu action films concerns a cycle of reprisals and daughters who avenge their mother's deaths."
Quentin Tarantino said at the 2006 Comic Con that, after the completion of Grindhouse, he wants to make two anime Kill Bill films. One will be an origin story about Bill and his mentors, and the other will be an origin starring The Bride. The latter is most likely to be a prequel, but could also follow the rumored (sequel) plot reported in Entertainment Weekly in April 2004.
Tarantino has been talking about Kill Bill sequels since the first two came out. Just because he's mentioned them again, after Inglourious Basterds has been released, doesn't really mean anything. I'll believe it when I see it. He talked about the The Vega Brothers film forever, and eventually abandoned it. I just want him to release Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, on Blu-Ray, both volumes, the 4+ hour extended version.

This is way different. Kill Bill 3 is still absolutely feasible.

He wanted the Vega Brothers movie to be a prequel, and that's kind of impossible now that both actors are in their 50s. I'm sure he wants to do it as much as he ever did, and would given the opportunity, but it just can't happen anymore.

No.

But I greatly enjoyed it--probably more than Volume 1 as it was more story/dialogue driven rather than being all action.

It is odd that I can not stand Tarantino but I do like his movies. At first I didn't want to give them a chance but I started watching kill bill and have saw parts of some of his other films. They are good but I just can not stand to watch interviews with him.

Tarantino, Russell Crow, Christian Bale, are all ones I can't stand as people but I really enjoy their work.

^ Don't forget Steven Seagal. Oh, wait, nevermind. He's a gaping asshole AND his movies are total shit unless Kurt Russell is in them.

Yeah, whether I like a person has nothing to do with my enjoyment of their movies, music, books etc.

I don't really bother watching interviews with celebrities etc., so I generally honestly don't have an opinion of most directors, actors etc. beyond rating their work. With exceptions for stories like Bale's blow ups that are all over the news and near impossible to avoid.
Technically, shouldn't this be called Kill Beatrice?
You should really read a topic before you respond.

Gee I thought that interview was hilarious. He ripped that wannabe Nancy Grace to shreds, I'd like it if more artists would stand up for their work against "somebody think of the children" blowhards.

I agree that spitting on that guy was an asshole move.

Maybe you should. While i may have misspelled her name, I think it would make more sense to rename the movie since Bill isalready dead and the focus would clearly be on killing her(the bride).

...Seriously?

Read the article in the OP. You know, the one all of this discussion is based on. The idea has already been proposed.
He only directed one scene in Sin City. That's Robert Rodriguez's movie--and the sequel is due out next year.
Don't hold your breath on that being out next year... it seems they throw out dates for Sin City 2 all the time and it hasn't even been cast or anything yet.

Even worse, now Mickey Rourke is saying he probably wouldn't even do part 2 because of the long hours putting on the makeup... what a quick move to Hollywood mode, when he was cast in Sin City, no one would even give this guy a job.

And then QT cast him in Death Proof, the fuckin' guy didn't even show up to the set when he was supposed to start.

Especially as QT had the wrong guy - he confused him with a different critic/journo who had been writing about QT's family.

He's talked about this before, doing a vengence film with the little girl getting revenge for Uma Thurmans character killing her Mom.

Could be ok I guess.

thats not too surprising you see it in dff actors who at one point were famous then drop off the planet only to come back again due to that one lucky film. not too thrilled about him being in the next iron man either his face is like one of those weird abstract paintings.
