Question about BB/GR value cards

Are they good nationwide? What I mean is..I go to school out of state. I'd like to start building up some credit to get a 360 sometime this fall and was wondering if there would be a problem with a card from out of state and/or trading when your account is based out of state(although I could just create a new account there).

Also, do you just ask for the cards? When I traded earlier in the week the guy asked if I wanted a gift card. I just left the credit on the account because I knew I was coming back the next day to grab some stuff.

i just got one from BB the other day and i asked this very same question. the employee i spoke with said they'll work at any BB or GR anywhere in the US.

yep. the guy gave me a choice and i chose a card, in case i found something i wanted somewhere else. i'm not sure if you can transfer existing account credit to a card, but i don't see why not.
