question about best buy?

does best buy let u return games that are opened already
becuz i want to buy the sims 2 so i can install it in my pc and then return the game back
cuz the sims 2 that i have is messed up and i cant do anything in build mode
so i was wonderin if i cud do that and will they give me money or credit back or if i buy it with a credit card then will they put the money back on the card
or if best buy doesnt do it then does any other store do it
 
Why would a store allow you to download the game into your pc then give your money back

Got to the Libary or something and get the game..

then again it still wont work cause you need the cd to run the game

If the game you have is messed up, take it back with your reciept, tell them it's not working and they will let you exchange an open copy for another copy of the same game.

I think it's funny how he doesn't want to pay for a copy, so he DL's it, it doesn't work, then he wants to buy it, install it, then return it for a refund.

Just buy the damn game, it's worth every penny.

You and your kind are the reason the holiday shopping season gets so violent. Last year I had to make return on a game at best buy and even though I didn't want a cash refund -- just a working copy of the same game -- the salesgirl was required to open it before she could give it to me.

Now this wouldn't have been so bad under normal circumstances, however, there was a huge line behind me at the customer service desk and the clerk had nothing to open the game with . Picture a huge line of people heavily armed with the recently legalized automatic weapons this year having them last year, and I would have been one dead minx. They went from cursing under their breath to stuff that would make a nun blush by the time she finally found a fellow employee with a decent set of fingernails.

The reason I was told we had to go through all of this was because people would burn copies of the games and then return them for a full refund. Some of them were even brazen/ stupid enough to tell the returns people they were doing it according to her and in the old days they used to have to give them their money back anyway -- obviously something that doesn't happen anymore.

If you don't want to pay for the game, please don't involve the brick and mortar stores. As bad out of the backup in line was with my return, I would speculate it would be 1000 times worse when the cops came to arrest you at the cash register -- if someone doesn't shoot you first that is ;-)

what if i tell em that it dont work on my pc and i ask for either credit or money back
what about circuit city...do they sell games cuz i kno they accept opened items
