Question about game resercvation at Gamestop

I put a game on hold today at Gamestop but realized I didn't recieve a reciept of any sort. I remeber usually you get a ticket or something like that - does anyone know if they have changed the process or if i didn't get what I needed?

Thanks

From my experience, you should have gotten a ticket. But they should have your info in their computer should anything go wrong.

Best to check and make sure, though.

Did you reserve a game (as in it hasn't been released yet), or did you put a game on hold (as in they had it but you couldn't buy it immediately)?

If you reserved it, I'm surprised they didn't ask for your phone number, as that usually how they have "accounts" listed by. If you just had them put a game on hold, that isn't anything official, so there's no actual rules aside from you needing to return to buy it ASAP or else it's back to being up for grabs to the public.

By reserved I suppose you mean you gave them money. And did not get a reciept? That wasn't very smart. #-o

One of the reasons I prefer EB over Gamestop nowadays is that EB keeps track of reservations in their computer, while Gamestop uses paper cards and whatnot, which can easily get misplaced.

If you did a resevation- as in put-down-5-bucks-minimum reservation, you should have gotten a reciept, and they should have taken your name, phone #, email, etc. Go back with an ID and explain, they should be able to help you out. Do it BEFORE the game releases, so you look more legit.

If you gave them no money, it's just on hold (assuming it releases like, tomorrow), or the cashier didn't know what they were doing- but no biggie. Go back and give 'em your 5 bucks, and make sure you get your reciept.

If you gave them money, but they took no info... I think you just got jacked by the cashier. Talk to the manager pronto, and hope it works out.

thats one of the most frustrating things about working at gamestop... the eb computer is years ahead of gamestops

Um, as long as you put at least $5 down, they have a receipt that you reserved the game... You don't need your receipt, just bring an ID when you pick up the game just in case. There is no need to call.

And the Gamestop computer is a fucking joke. EB redid theirs like 5 years ago, GS's is still super worthless and shitty.
