Question about GS Return Policies and store credits

Hi i was told by an employee at my local gamestop that i will only get $30 store credit for my sp.

1. How is the store credit like? is it like a gift card?

2. i want cash so i plan to use the $30 credit and buy a game. Then i will return the game (sealed brand new) to a different GS and get back my $30 in cash. Is that possible? or will they give me my money back in store credit again?:whistle2:|
 
Probably not.

On the reciept, it mentions the method of payment, and once you have store credit, you can never get cash.
Correct me if I am wrong.

No, it's not. You'll be refunded in your original payment method, which is store credit.
 
you have no chance of getting cash back if you don't use cash in the first place.

if you return with the reciept... they will see what you paid in and they will give it back to you in that form. If you return (or attempt to return) without a reciept... you only have a chance of getting store credit back, if anything at all.
