question about preordering games at EB if you don't pick them up

If you preorder a game using a trade x deal and don't pick it up within the 48 hours...when you do go to the store are you forced to get that same game or can you get your credit back for something else? I am thinking of preordering wrestlemania 21 but if the reviews are bad i'd want the option to get something else.... thanks.
 
When I worked there a couple of years ago you could get your money back or put it toward something else if you put money on something. Not totally sure about the trade deal sorry.
 
I think you can get a refund like anything else, but if it came with a pre-order freebie then you have to return that also, unless the clerk doesn't take note of it even though it's printed on the receipt.
