Question about selling a code on Ebay

This whole ordeal with Ebay has made me want to jam my fist through a wall. As expected, the asshole got his refund today. I've emailed Ebay regarding the situation, stating that he has multiple disputes open for similar items, all claiming the same thing. I also let them know how absolutely retarded it is that you cant leave negative feedback for buyers. This guy is free to go ahead and do this again to others which seriously is not right.

I fully expect the standard "there's nothing we can do" response from Ebay. Ya' know, it's only their website and everything, why would they be able to do anything against scammers.

Ugh.

eBay isn't going to help you, as you sold a policy-prohibited item. However, it's not illegal for you to do that and the buyer is committing fraud. Contact the Internet Crime Compaint Center (FBI) and report him/her.

People are such douche bags, this is why I try to avoid ebay if I can. There are waaay too many people out there who have no morals and feel it's completely acceptable to scam. I honestly don't see any issues with selling codes online, their YOUR codes, you should be able to do whatever you want with them.
Put in the response that he prematurely filed the claim before your handling time was up, and mail him something with delivery confirmation.
I would so do it, even if it does nothing but draw more attention to the case and slow the cockbite of a buyer down. IMO, I'd send em a dildo or something. Write the code on it.

It actually is illegal to sell beta codes, it's a copyright violation, so by reporting the fraud to the FBI the seller is reporting them self for violating copyrights. If you want to hear even more fucked up legal shit read the agreement for the SC II beta.

Ugh. Yeah, I did forget we're talking about a BETA code initially acquired by the OP; who had to agree to not transfer or sell the license prior to receiving it. Very good point.
