I've been wanting to pick this game up for quite some time even though i'm not even sure exactly what it is about...just looked interesting to me.

I just want to know why it is over $30.00 still at places like CC?

OMG, do not buy that. It is one of the worst games I have ever played. I regret wasting 3 dollars on renting it. Someone might disagree but I have never found anyone yet. Some stores never change a price. I went to Mediaplay lastnight and they had several games at 50 that have dropped everywhere to 30 like months ago. They won't even price match. Just sad.

For a while you could find The Bouncer in just about any bargain bin, but I think it's starting to dry up now. You should still be able to get it cheap at Ebay though! :D

On a personal note, I've always thought The Bouncer was underated and received a lot of criticism it didn't deserve. I think most people just bought too much into the hype and expected the game to be something it was never intending to be. The game is really just a modern version of Final Fight, only with a much cooler storyline. I have it in my collection to this day and it's not going anywhere. 8)

It was just really dissapointing for squares first ps2 game. If you like beat-em-ups like final fight its pretty decent, but really short(your suposed to keep going through it to unlock new stuff)

I tried to block the experience out but it was like a really bad beat-em-up followed by long cutscenes. The fighting was horrid, and you end up fighting for a few minutes and then watch a long scene. Repeat. IMO

Bouncer is a decent Beatemup with story, everyone thought it was going to be some sort of 40 hour action RPG and screamed bloody murder when it wasn't. 3 differnt paths/playable characters through out the story, special team attacks when the other two computer controlled characters are in position. Purchase moves between each stage a vs mode for unlocked characters.

if you find it at TRU it might be 7.99 but concidering it's a discontinued game at this point your best bet is a used copy or an over priced one(depending on your view, I last saw it for 19.99).

It is not bad at all. Just has lots of cut scenes. If I remember it only takes a few hours to fully complete. With no replay value. Probably not worth $30 unless your a square fanatic.

The game is lots of fun with a friend. Granted the story segments are a little long, but at least the story is INTERESTING. There's tons of unlockable characters for the multiplayer mode, new techniques to learn, and 3 different characters with slightly different stories. I'd say if you can find it around $15-20, pick it up. It is a bit short for $30.

Its not a bad game, but I think I beat it with one of the characters in around 2 or 3 hours on a rental. Like mentioned before, you're supposed to beat the game a few times with every character because it gives you a different POV with each character at certain parts of the game where the group splits up, and gives you unlockables.

Pretty fun overall, definently not worth $30, at most I think I would pay $15, AT MOST, the game is way past its prime now.

You can get it used just about anywhere for like 15 bucks, I was lucky to find one for 8 so I picked it up. Its a very short and basic beat em up game, its fun for a few days.
