Question about trading in YLOD PS3 to gamestop

I have a PS3 40gb with the YLOD, will they let me trade that in?

I called to ask about trading in a broken PS3 and they told me it was $75 trade in value and a $30 refurb because it's broken. I see some people mention that they won't take YLOD but I assumed broken was broken so I didn't differentiate when asking.

Any insight would be great also would they let you take part of the 30% trade in bonus with a broken system?
 
You'd get whatever the base system rate, without any bonuses applied, minus the refurb fee.

From what you listed out, it would be $45 in your pocket as credit. Cash would be even less.
 
You'll get around 30-40$ store credit, thats if you have all components. If you don't they won't accept it. I turned in my 40GB YLOD PS3 to game stop after the hair dryer trick and they gave me $50 + the $50 which was a special that month. So even if you're PS3 was working, they'd only give you $50 back.
