Question about Windows 7 Machine + XBox Offer

Does anyone know if they actually contact your college to verify enrollment? I have a .edu address but am not currently enrolled. I'm looking to get a new desktop so figured this would be a good deal. Anyone gone through the process yet?

They didn't for me at Best Buy. I think as long as you have a college ID and email you will be fine.

All the offers I've seen are for laptops. I don't know if anyone is still offering this with a desktop.

^Yeah, I've only ever seen this deal work with laptops. Unless the desktop part is unadvertised or something, I think you're out of luck.
