Um, was there anything that dictates if a component cable will or will not work with certain versions of the original Xbox console?
I found a monster component cable for the original xbox at a local store, took it home and tried it out. The only color being output was green.
I went back, and exchanged it for the Msoft brand, which was this weird box with component plugs which a seperate cable had to be attached to.
This version worked perfectly, the owner of the used game store claims that is because the Msoft brand cord had a chip to process the component output.
I am curious if this is true or not?
I saw on amazon that certain component cables won't work on older verions of the console.
