Model: LN52A650 | SKU: 8749287

Im aware that BB employee's pay 5% more than cost price of the HDTV, if anyone could tell me i would really appreciate it, Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been discussed.
Just check the next time you go to work. :D
My guess is his friend works there and is offering an insider deal price on the TV. The OP is wanting a CAG to verify whether his friend is lying to him about the proposed cost in order to make a few extra bucks in the transaction.

Just make sure whoever the employee is, he does everything in his power to give off the impression that he is buying it for himself. Employees get fired for buying something like that for others.

this is not the TV you are looking for.

I would suggest waiting until Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) or before Christmas to buy an HDTV if you've waited this long already. Read this article for more info:

If the BB deal sounds better than those predicted prices, simply ask your friend for the receipt in case he dies a horrible death from a disgruntled ex-Circuit City employee before you need to have the TV serviced.

the sale price is 2319ish.
I am just going to guess and say employee price would be 2k. (sometimes its the same as a big sale item)

sale prices have no effect on the employee price. so when it goes back up to 2799 the employee price would remain the same. 2k (or whatever the price is)

If your friend is offering you to buy the tv for XX price you will still get a receipt from your friend verifying the price that was paid for the TV anyways.

Even before actually buying the tv. He can go to his store and print out a employee price receipt when checking prices.

Either that or pay the price he wants if it's fair to you and put a few dollars in his pocket for helping you save money while risking his job. Help a brother out already!

The HDTV i wanted was the LN52A650 model. The regular price was the BS price of $2,799.99, the sale price was $2,319.99 and with the employee discount it came to be around $1,941.00.

Frys Electronics had this TV for $1,678.00 flat with tax included for their weekly sales.

I guess ill just wait for black friday or when they sell a good TV at Frys again.

You can pick the samsung ln52a650 up for $2,055 with free shipping from big river... I can't believe that it was going for $1,678 .. are you sure you weren't see in the ln52a550? (the 60hz version)
